Once I start to learn everything from my P4 and my fellow pilots, now I can say that I'm really confident with my machine. To those that are in the process is just take your time to know your drone. This is my first flight over water and I have to admit the results was awesone.

You're spot on, it's all about having confidence in the machine, once you've stepped over that threshold then it becomes a lot more enjoyable.

My first flight over water was nerve racking also.. despite having a lot of confidence in the product - the 'what if' sits in the back of your mind - for the first 30seconds until you really get into the flying anyway!

But as most people find.. no dramas.  As always it pays to think about your failsafe configurations - especially in this scenario

Thanks so much! The story with this short video was that I was showing up a friend how the P4 fly! I didn't intend to edit the video at all. Obviously he was really impressed with the P4 and now he wants one. lol!

Just take your time to know every detail of your P4. The more common error is the compass calibration. Many people perform the calibration near metal objects that later turn your flight with a crash. Read the threads and learn from other pilots errors, and you will be flying with confidence in no time. Good luck and enjoy your UAV.

I don't want you to be scared. But GPS can do funny things. Try to practice ATTI at times to be, just in case, prepared.

Back on topic, how long (hours?) did it take you before you got over your fear of flying the P4?  I still get nervous over it above 100 feet for some reason.

I am also a licensed pilot.  I recall my first few flights in training where I had a death grip on the yoke figuring "If the wings fall off this plane, this steering thingy is connected to that spinning thing out front so it won't be as bad."  Took a while for me to relax and let go of the yoke.  Oddly, it resurfaced later when we went up to around 10,000 feet once I graduated off the touch-and-goes at 2,000 feet.
