     And tonight's entertainment (at least for me) is provided by fabdrone!  Dude, I have spent an hour on your video (at least, probably more).  (There are two jobs you want on the island, Paint Supplies and Pool Operations!  You will become rich!)  I have studied Thera (1500-1400 BC, Minoan Culture, etc.) for years, watched Cousteau, but tonight I got a feel for Santorini!  You got to love those drones!  What an experience - and I spotted you to!

Thanks a lot mate :-) Indeed it is well known that Santorini has trilions of pool hotels to keep you there in the caldera view. The wind was nasty as I said bellow but I managed to keep the aircraft on non windy places. I couldn't fly pass the buildings though... anyway... very nice place to film :-) a droner's dream

     By the looks of the shadows, you were filming from 9-10:30 AM.  The wind looks like it was coming from the NorthWest.  Were there downdrafts near the lip of the cliffs?  I noticed the wind was really wrapping around the ridges.  Those can get you to.  

     I get a kick out of the boats on the overlooks at the hotels.  Santorini is so interesting.  Did you ride the cable-car down to the harbor, or is that a requirement if you visit there?  Nice the way you made the tour cohesive.  Very easy to follow.  Looking forward to the next one.

Cataman can relate! The main difference is that his island gets a lot of rain, and is full of jungles, but Santorini gets mostly hot dry sun rays!

Let's not forget ICarus escaped (tried) from the island just south of there!!

Thanks mate :-) The wind was exactly as you describe it. You are spot on... I couldn't fly higher as it was possible to carry the aircraft or even lose it :-(

You can take the cable car only if you wish to go to the old port which is not used any more as main port. You can walk as well there. There is another port called Athinios where you arrive by boat to the island

Default settings 2,7 UHD quality, just had the white balance set to sunny setting :-)
