Hi. I use OSMO Mobile with Nexus 5X.
In the camera view, The camera image is upside down but other menu icon is correct direction.

Please help me to solve this problem.

I had the Nexus 5x. Seemed that every non stock camera app I used the image was upside down. This was long before the Nougat update. Some camera apps (like Camera FV-5) fixed it so it is possible to correct through software.

Nexus5X Marshmallow camera problem

This is a well-known problem for Nexus 5X.
Please fix it at the next version DJI Go.

I've submitted this issue. But I'm not so sure when will it be solved, since it's a bug specific to this device, so it inevitably gets a low priority.

I also have google nexus 5x. And my osmo is shipped already, waiting for the delivery in the next few days.
Should I better return it as it does not function with nexus 5x and dji treats this as low priority issue?

A new Version of the DJI go app has been updated on play store in the last 24 hrs.

Can you please check and confirm if that version fixes the problem?

My osmo mobile is on the way and I am curious about this..

not now, but will in a week or two. Before that, you can use the stock camera of your phone.

can you please confirm this timeline?.

I am currently in a return period., I don't want to keep this $300 unusable product for long if this is not fixed within my return period.

I have also purchased other accessories (like extra battery, tripod, extension) - all expensive stuff.. .and if this bug is NOT fixed soon, this is going to be a major disappointment for me and many others.

I see several people now start to realize that nexus 5x is not supported.

It's now October 2nd. it's a Nexus phone... Google's API couldn't be more published... what's the word on Nexus 5x /6p support?  I get that it's a Apple first world... but if you really want to win over the Android market... start with Nexus support.

DJI-Thor, i will have to return this item since its of no use to me. I purchased on Amazon from DJI Official Store. I waited till September End (and a few more days) and the more I wait, more i realize that this is a never ending saga.. of features not being support. (4k support, slow motion, limits on motion time-lapse etc).

Not at all happy with the product functionality (ie, what we get compared to what was advertised in all the Promo vidoes etc.., especially on android). I had ordered on 8-sep, and the item was delivered on 20-sep to me., i hope the DJI-Official store will process a full refund and send me a return shipping label.

I have also spend money at other vendors for other accessories like extra batteries & charger etc.., on, which I will have to cut my losses.

Once all the bugs and issues are all fixed, ---may be--- i might reconsider buying this., but at this moment, I can't justify spending $300+ on this device.

On my Nexus 5X with latest DJI GO preview still upside down (but recored videos looks fine), usings stock camera right now.
Also, 4k video recording fine with stock camera and laggy (freezes) with DJI GO app.
And DJI GO app recording only 8m pixels photos instead of 12m pixel as stock camera.

what version of the App are you using? 2.9.1 is the latest on play store released on 18-sep and is known to have these issues.

now that v3.0.0 is released for Android, can nexus 5X users confirm that the following issues are fixed:

1. inverted images in preview and recorded video (when played on PC/TV)
2. ActiveTrack crashing - when using rear and front facing camera.
3. 4k Support - does it even work or choppy?


I have returned my unit back since these fixes did not come within my return period.

This is really SAD.

DJI -- please fix these issues. I really want to buy a OSMO Mobile.., but you guys are messing this up big time!

I just checked my 5X with the new DJI GO app and footage shoots correct but I did experience the gimbal turning you did with Active Track. As far as 4K video... I randomly have problems with the phone camera app locking up and getting laggy footage when shooting 4K without the Osmo so I can't fault DJI for that. I think 4K capability is limited by the hardware of the 5X. The lagging and crashing does seem improved now since the N update however it's still unreliable.
