Using Android DJI Go 2.9.0 app - Hit play button on a flight and see if you get the same as me please. Cannot post a video of the issue at this time.

Flight Data logs playback at erratic speed, and show garbage instead of messages 'i.e home point set' would be garbled characters.

Have confirmed that uploading the logs to healthy drones that the logs themselves are okay.

Playback of logs recorded with versions prior to 2.9.0 also playback very erratic. Like it takes 10 seconds to play to 1 minute - these were fine in previous versions.

I do have other issues mentioned elsewhere with 2.9.0 - unfortunately DJI no longer allow us to download the .apk from their site.

Played back some older flight record I have here on Nexus 7 (2013) using 2.9.0, all looks good.

Sigh, that's good to know dude, though mine are definitely playing back strange. I have a missing icon on the android app too, seems only a few have that problem. I had been assuming some kind of corrupt download from play store, but have redownloaded multiple times now with the same. Unfortunately DJI don't have the .apk on their site anymore for some weird reason. I could download from non-official sources but don't really want to!

Guess I'll have to roll back to version I luckily backed up in mid August.

Sync your flight records and reinstall the Go app to see if the issue persists.

Already reinstalled it 6 times to try get the icon back, that was before checking the logs though, will reinstall again soon. Logs appear okay when viewed elsewhere. I'll report back after reinstalling *again*!

Reinstalled app and still the same. I wish DJI would give us an .apk link to current and previous version. Would help them with bug testing/validating. I'll try 2.8.x tomorrow and see if that fixes the playback as well as the android icon bug.

So I rolled back to early/mid August version (I'l have to relink to aircraft tomorrow to say precise version, I think the first 2.8.4 one).
Flight log for 23/07/2016 and previous plays back fine.
My next flight log showing is 14/08/2016 and that plays erratic speed.
Since I rolled back from 2.9 and synced, the most recent flight log (17/09/2016) has disappeared - not sure if any others have too.

So issue for me affects it seems flights since at least 14/08/2016

To clarify, what mobile device are you using? Have you happened to try another mobile device?

Huawei p8 lite. Interestingly, the  recent .txt files, the ones that play wrong seem to have been modified by 2.9 and now don't show on 2.8. can tell as dates have been modified.

I see DJI Go 2.9.1 for Android was released overnight, that may help your cause.

Thanks for the headsup dude, Now installed 2.9.1 and has fixed the playback issue, the 'missing' flight from 17th has reappeared (the .txt was still in the file system), and the Go icon is back to being DJI instead of an android.

So, All fixed. Lets hope no other bugs have crept in.

I'd give more detail and my findings here that would help DJI hugely with their debugging, but I doubt they'd listen, and probably just get confused and ask me to send a video. What I am gonna do is make a backup of this .apk as that previous one had me very worried of corruption.

Confirmed though, all good on the app side (2.9.1), hope to fly later today

Good to hear that the issue has been squared away. In regards to the .TXT files, the formatting change would have been a byproduct of the software updates in order to reallocate processing data.
