The DJI Go app pano option is working now for Android however... using the 9 photo option the compiled photo has very small dimensions and file size. The photos it uses to compile the pano are saved as well, also with small dimensions and file sizes. Seriously, it takes 9 pictures with a 12 MP camera (on a Note 7) and I get a file that's 1327 x 664 and 407kb? Very disappointing!! This is puzzling especially because when I take a single photo using the DJI Go app the photo size is more appropriate but still reduced size when compared with the same pic taken with the Samsung camera app. Same reduced file sizes with the 180 and 330 degree panos, only about 600-700 pixels on the short side.
Original photos can be seen here:
DJI Go App Pano from 9 photos (1327 x 664 at 407k) notice also the black spot top center which appears in many of the 9 pic panos I took.
DJI Go App Single Shot (4032 x 2268 at 2.9MB)
Samsung App Single Shot (4032 x 2268 at 7.2MB)
DJI Go App 180 degree pano (3848 x 613 at 974kb)
Samsung Camera App 180 degree Pano (12,176 x 2208 at 26.7MB)
Yes I checked, they're all the same size on my phone and Google Photos.
I was hoping to use the 9 shot Pano on my upcoming vacation in Hawaii for some large pano photos that would be good enough to frame, looks like that's not gonna happen.
Why does the DJI app output such small pano photos? At the very least it should save the photos used to create the pano as a maximum file size (in my case 12MP) photo so I could stitch them together myself!!
Hey, lets make a camera feature that allows the user to take pictures of an area 9 times larger but we'll make the compiled photo a third of the size of a single photo. *SMH*
