This is new. My firmware is all up to date. Tips over about 7 out of 10 landings. I notice a strange sound from motors after touch down. One time the motors would not shut off?

Are you using the CSC to shut down after landing?
That often has a tendency to cause tipping.
Try using the left stick down method instead.

And there is the reason it tips over. Unfortunately the manual also says you can do this,. but the safest way to shut down is to simply bring the aircraft down gently using the left stick and once it touches down, keep the left stick fully down and 3 seconds later it will shut off the motors.

Hello sir, please clarify your aircraft model. Tipping happens during the process of landing or when it's landing to ground? It's normal that aircraft will be slightly tipping under a very fast speed during landing. when it's landing to ground, please make sure the ground is level and move sticks gently.
For motors, please rotate them with your finger and check whether there are some abnormal noise, move smoothly?
Please make a video for us if convenient.

After landing hold throttle stick down til motors shut off, doing csc like you do to start the motors will cause it to tip over so don't do that unless your starting the motors to take off

Never use CSC to shut motors when landing. You are actually giving instructions for the Phantom to lean back and tilt left whilst yawing right and throttling down.

Here lies the problem. It is the DJI manual.
It gives 2 options to shut down motors for landing.
Option 1 is CSC and option 2 is throttle down for 3 secs when landed. What's happening is that a lot users will read the first option and ignore any other.

DJI should edit the manual have the 3 second throttle down as the only option for landing and shutting off motors. They then should move the CSC option to another heading called EMERGENCY MOTOR SHUT OFF.
