Hi Forum,

My very first post,
Brand new to phantoms first time owner.

I flew the first time yesterday on three seperate occasions.
Both time using latest firmware and iphone6 plus combo.

Great fun but, my video was poor, bad quality, has to be faulty, broken up, glitchy with green bands appearing sometimes over half the screen.

Not fun for a new flyer.

I bought this for imagery, this camera is clearly faulty I would think, do I contact Phantom (Australia seems to have no contact)

Or take it straight back the the store?

Welcome to the Green Screen Club.

We are in a Special Green Screen Club, because we own the MIGHTY iphone 6p.

I assume your recorded video has no issues.

Keep your iphone apps off, stop apps refresh, keep it cool.  Turn on Hardware Decoding.  If it is on already, turn it off. Don't ask if that makes any sense.Are you testing inside the home?  If yes, go outside and try it.  Do a compass calibration outside before you fly.
As you are having these green screens, switch to Custom and choose a channel which shows no interference. Maybe the area you are flying has wifi signals, cphone repeaters.....

Please try to follow MD's advice.
Enable the hardware decoding and ensure that you do not have any programs running in the background.

Great thanks guys/gals, don't mind being a green screen member, any club is better than none.

I am flying outside, calibrating each flight (even at same location) being very safe. I just tried again on 4K res, I will check playback once downloaded. I will try the manual channel tip and refresh iPhone/close all apps.

Is that image taken off the SD card directly and played back on FCP? If it is, then you have a faulty camera, return it to where you bought it and ask for it to be exchanged. DJI do not have a presence in Australia, only a nominated repair facility in Melbourne.

Thanks Geebax, yes it is playback from fcp. That's what I thought, I had trouble shooted all other angles. Bugger at least the store seem to be working with me. Thanks

This time the camera seems okay, well still part of green screen club but it did look different than that last error.

But a new error, ... at least they come with added value

Downward sensor calibration needed or similar, it had red ! Mark after the initial gps connection okayed

I was worried but still flew and seemed okay although the wind was strong and it seemed a little unstable.

Is this also hardware?

I tried to google and managed to find recalibrate vision sensor inside the app but it would not let me.

Help would be great, thanks so much

I am also getting the green bands and poor quality video on my Phantom 3 Pro. I get them with both my android tablet and my iPhone 6. Also video seems to play in fits and starts. Don't have filters yet so filming on auto, maybe part of the problem? Anyway, how do I enable the hardware encoder on the phone? I don't se it in the settings menu. Thx!

You could enable the hardware decoding for your ios device.
