just did imu advanced calibration Naza-M,first of all it told me ' Temp of MC is too High,power down and cool 5 minand redo" read it on forum that i should just ignore that and i did,then this error[25] "IMU initialization failure, may caused by crash. Please contact dealer or DJI for repair"

Hi - I have exact;y the same problem, and I know of another person experiencing this.  I have spent the last 24 hours reinstalling and recalibrating without success.  Have sent to DJI so should get a response in about 6 months (with luck)..   My problems started when i upgraded to the latest firmware - and I cant go back......

The 3 rows of numbers, the 4th one in each row
row 1 should be close to 0
row 2 should be close to 1.0
row 3 should be between I think 500 to 1500

Ive got .4  1.1 and 1497  but the P2+ flashes R/G/Y and when connected to assistant shows error 25 imu failure.

Those numbers are all within the limits of the IMU.  There is something else going on there,  I'm not sure what their error codes are.  I would contact the place you purchased it and talk with them.  R/G/Y is a power on self test.

here is a pre flight check list with light codes.

after i did my calibration in basic it looked like it took it and then i calibrated it outside before flight and thats when i gave me error on my phone saying   "MC !  Sensor Error . Maintenance Required"

Read it thoroughly and use at your own decision.  I haven't heard of this yet, never tried it.

Interesting find Gerry. Thanks for posting that. I decided to go ahead and do the latest update on my P2V+ v3. I didn't have any problems updating.but I LED light on the display don't work (Android).

I didn't re-cal my IMU and don't plan to unless a have to. I recal'ed it once after a crash soon after I got my Phantom. When I cal'ed my IMU under the old firmware I also got the hot IMU message but I waited about 5 mins and it worked without error.

I wonder if this slowness could also but part of the issues after an IMU cal?  

So I installed the Reimage software only to find it is a pay program. It did ID 3 issues with my PC, but did report any slowness. Two issues were related to codec software I installed for MP4 files that would not play properly on my PC and the other was a piece of software and directory for drivers that I actually don't remember installing. I didn't buy the software but I manual removed the issues it ID'ed, I then removed the Reimage program too.

I ran my existing software to fix any issues with the registry, junk file etc.

does remote control (transmitter) have to be on when calibrating?

Not when you are doing an IMU calibration, but if your IMU numbers are within the limits, it shouldn't be necessary.

Ty,i downloaded spybot search and destroy  to clean my computer,its almost done cleaning and then ill try again,if it wont work ill try to uninstall everything  and start fresh

all was great untill app wouldnt connect to vision2, and when i restarted it went to fail again blinking green yellow red

yes i did, it connects now but after calibrated yet again it is all good at first till i turn it off and when i power it up again it blinks green yellow red,same error

maybe i need to download  assistant v3.6 instead of  what i have right now v3.8 with @Phantom 2 Vision Main Controller Firmware* v3.10

uninstall the old windows drivers and the PT2 assistant 3.8 and reinstall.  When you install the windows drivers, it will ask you to connect the Phantom to the computer and power it up.  It will install files to your flight controller onboard,  then install the 3.8 program again.

Im doing it now,one thing i dont like is cam driver in it is for 330 and mine is 200,how can i change it?

Imu initialization failure,may caused by crash.please contact dealer or dji for repair.  Error [25] grrr,maybe try olded assistant?

Dont know what to do....

Followed this thread, reinstalled 3.08 Assistant.  Left PV+ overnight and still getting "Too hot" message on first power up and calibrate.  At a loss......

Tried it last night (I had 3.6 loaded on another PC)  Didn't make any difference in my case..... sorry... but who knows it might work on yours....  Peter

Ignore that IMU to hot message,  that will always pop up. just click ok and continue with the calibration

i did that Gerry, and since i was outside and its lil chilly i managed to calibrate it couple times with out hot warning,still same resaults,flying ok at first,then blinks green red yellow after first power off and on, and it wont even let motor start,i tried 3.6 also but it kept loading newest drivers, so that failed too,how can i delete drivers ,software,firmware?

I would contact the place of purchase and talk with their techs at this point in time.  I'm now at a loss of what we can do with it.  

Had exactly the same experience with mine.
Wrote to DJI, will see during the week if there will be any answer.
However, I went through ALL updates:
Installer ver 3.8 (Upgraded the vision to 3.10 with Installer 3.6 - when the problems started)
iPhone App
WiFi-Extender "upgrade" via the new App under settings
Camera firmware to 1.3.0
Strangley the error is gone for now, but I hope to see a firmware-fix very soon - don't really trust the problem to be gone.

You can't bypass the temp waning if you proceed it does not calibrate the IMU.

Wait for it to cool down and be ready to start the calibration when it says ready. It will confirm a successful calibration.

i did it cool with no warnings couple times bjr981s, successful calibration all good at first run,till i power off and power on,thats when it all goes bad with led red green brown and warnings pop out everywhere

I get that message every time I do an IMU calibration, I always click ok and continue and I get a SUCCESSFUL calibration after it is done.

wasnt Error 25 the "knock knock" method? Colin guin showed that very good when the Phantom1 entered the scene. Im not sure Error 25 was the problem but there is a certain IMU failure message and the solution is knock on it :p because the gyros got stuck after a crash.

Yes you have to wait for the IMU to cool when you want a correct IMU calibration. I dont think its a bug with the temperature message because the Inspire has the same warning and i cant believe they still implement this "bug" in the inspire, that would be more than stupid :p

you can do an advanced imu calibration regardless of the overheat popup...its a bug in the firmware that has not been removed ...yet.

My imu has never been dropped   or crashed or even shook,it happend right after update,maybe i did update in the wrong order,something   is messed up it works at first start till i power it up again,just weird

I am having the same issue
