So I know that the DJI Mavic is amazing and i have been holding on until DJI's release to find out which is a better all rounder product to buy.Stuck between a rock and a hard place with between the P4 and Mavic.
I checked on DJI's website for a comparison but there is no option for that as yet.

which would be a better product?

Decide between portability and picture quality.

Looks good, Its light weight, where I live, if the wind is 5 MPH, it is 5 to 15, If the wind is 10 MPH, it is usually 10 to 20. Is lightweight ok?

About Mavic and the horizon tilt issue: It appears to still be a problem. Go to 33m 42s in the video ...

It looks like that happened during a fast yaw - it'll likely settle down afterwards. It seems this is just a limitation we have to live with - the wee gimbal motors can't react strongly enough against the forces generated during certain movements.

They did ask the audience to go take a look, but yeah no much info. I have pre-ordered the Epson BT-300 glasses anyway. But I might cancel those and order a Mavic instead

On the subject of pricing, it's their choice *but* in the US all prices are without sales tax - typically 8-10% while in the UK they have to include VAT @ 20%, so they are about the same...

would like to see a comparison chart up with the exact differences other than weight and size

It's up to you, for me I want something totally portable that I can carry around anywhere and this is the perfect thing for me.

Yes, because of the design of it and the tuned propulsion system, it will be very stable in wind.

Hi Ken so what price is the Mavic, at the release they said it starts at $749 on your website it starts at $999 was the $749 a marketing stunt or is this the price without sales tax, it's a bit unclear maybe you can enlighten us..

In a future date, the Mavic by itself will be available for that price (less RC).

The P4 is a 4s battery and the Mavic is 3s so the voltage is different so it will not work.
But I heard that the P4 charger can be used with the Mavic charging hub to charge batteries quicker.
But I have not verified that.

So DJI gives Casey Neistat    a Mavic to evaluate and fly and they dont let Key personnel ( Ken, ETC )  that work with the DJI forum members to answer questions fly and evaluate one.  I just threw up in my mouth a little.

DJI Ken is our main source of answers and advice on all things DJI.  He is our "siri".  Therefore its only right that he should have full access to current and new tech.  How else would he be able to give us the answers we seek from him on a daily basis.

Yes it will.

i own an Inspire Pro, but this Mavic may be the primary tool for non-film gigs because of it's portability.  Occasionally, I am forced to check my Inspire at the airport instead of carry on.  This unit can easily pass for carry-on with any airline.  I look forward to more varying types of footage (extremely sunny, foggy, low light) and information about adding filters (ND, Polarizer).

100% for sure, There's so many places I randomly go to (a lot while cruising around by motorcycle) and at least with the Mavic I'd be able to stick in in my saddlebag with ease and stop if I see something cool to photo/video. I see cool stuff all the time but there's no way I'm going to strap my P4 box to the back of my bike all the time when out and about.

I know inspire is for professional stuff but do you think mavic is capable of doing professional stuff as well, not some sort of top tier indie film thing but smaller projects?

Damn Casey Neistat gets everything, it looks like a great drone to spy on girls, I mean....carry around.

The Mavic I see it as your go to drone you always carry around for that unexpected spectacular moment.
For choreographed film work I think you would use a M600/Ronin-MX and camera of your choosing. Or for less professional work then the Inspire X5 would do the job. And for even less professional, P3/P4 would be great.

I understand that mavic is portable small,stable and has a great price point.

the phantom 4 is Big,stable and has a slightly higher price point.

They are both amazing aircraft and it's up to you to decide.
I like the Mavic for it's portability.

I agree with Casey Neistat, MAVIC is the best drone actually for non professional use

I would agree with that too, For full blown professional work I'd use a M600/Ronin-MX/RED camera

I have no pricing or availability on them, keep checking the website occasionally.

Another thing that puzzles me is it is priced at $1299 which converts to just over £1000 British pounds yet I have been charged  £1246 how does that work?

I don't know, in the US all shipping and taxes are included in the online price. Contact onlinesales@dji.com or use the chat feature and ask them.

If the Mavic is the turn-to non professional camera drone, and the M600 is the turn-to professional  camera drone, where does the P4 fit in ?
Non professional should be split into two sub categries, action and cinematography. Then the Mavic and P4 get to be top dogs in their weight/class divisions.
