I noticed it has no legs under either of the two rear two motors... Does it just rest on the front t ...

on the bottom there are two little plastic stubs to keep it from barley touching the ground on a flat surface.

yes it is what is even better is that you can rotate the camera 90 degrees sideways as well. so you can film in portrait mode

you can't mount one. same thing i was wondering and its a deal breaker for me as well. ill just wait until there is something that i can put on the controller to hold an iPad mini

you must have really big hands if you can't see the screen. but your hands (if you look at some pictures) your hand would not be in the way. And not only that but the lcd helps a lot by showing vital information that you can see easier than squinting at your phone or iPad. And third it is not made out of plastic and it was often noted by reviews that it is very strong and durable...quality....

very true. after what happened with the z3 I'm a little skeptical to buy something that dji just announced. new body frame everything is redesigned. there might be some problems. I'm gonna wait about 6 months and if nothing big comes up i will buy one to.

Mine was finally shipped. Expecting Nov 2nd. Can't wait to join the community.

An Ipad Mini mounts in it, the two top corners of the iPad mini slot into the rectangular slots of the holder.

Ummm...I don't think so.

This person is correct. The camera can be rotated 90 degrees. (Not that filming video in portrait is recommended as a default, but it is possible)

worst communication, in a bad situation. You will value your partners more than the individuals who ordered directly on your site, and if this happens and the retailers will get the delivery first you will get many angry users and huge reputation damage.

How hard it is to assess the production throughput, check against the order dates and volumes, and project a delivery timeline? The only reason you dont want to do it, since you already know that those who preordered on your site thinking that you actually can delivery in mid-october will be happy if they get the drones for xmas. But you are financing the production from these people money. Super unethical, crappy client handling, unprofessional in every aspect. I can just hope that the same attitude is not infects the R&D and production units, or this company will be doomed soon.  

Any decent updates out there for shipping of these mavics??
This is my first ever time being with DJI and frankly im a little worried! the drone does look good but like everyone else my money has gone and I have nothing or any idea when I will get it and no decent updates ???

Would be really nice to have any kind of information regarding my purchase. I don't understand why DJI is choosing to leave costumers in the dark, they are not even replying emails.

So if it's supposed to be 1st come 1st served explain someone ordering 4 days after me but getting it two week before me

Two weeks & counting wth

So with the latest update being vague stating DJI will do their best to clear pre nov 3rd orders in next 7 or 8 weeks having parted with $2.000 nearly 5 weeks ago I think the possibility of another 8+ weeks is morally WRONG.

Is there any development towards providing high altitude blades for the Mavic?

i order my mavic today hope it will be real soon here

Contacted customer support yesterday.  Agent was rude and not helpful.  Treated me as though I should be thankful they took my money.

Dont expect anything soon. They sent out the second communication in over a month about a week ago saying "we're going to do our best to ship out all orders placed before Nov 3 within the next 7-8 weeks". Translation: We just bought ourselves another 7-8 weeks at minimum. Stop bothering us until week 7 when we can hopefully have our stuff together.

Where did you order from? Did you get the Fly More package?

Im one of the dumb-dumbs that thought i would get my drone quicker if i ordered directly from DJI. First time customer and needless to say i've learned my lesson on how they handle their business. Also made the mistake of paying more money for the Fly More package - looks like ill be penalized for that too haha

Can someone please shed some light on this please I've ordered a Dji mavic pro from hobby wow at the start of oct and hobby wow are telling me that the DJI haven't even started shipping yet because there is a problem with the drone ??? But all over YouTube people are starting to receive them? What's going on ??
