Ok,
so i'm looking at getting some lovely ND filters for my shiny X5. Currently looking at Tiffen ND's but not sure about weight tolerences of the gimbal and if this would need to be counter weighted.

Purely looking at Tiffen as used them forever in photography. So, happy to hear of other peoples experiences of what works best.

Looking forward to hearing from you n' whatnot uhuh hmm yes? Good.

Muchas patatas

Weight means plenty. An X5 out of balance will work ok for awhile, but will soon burn up the motors. There are plenty of posts from pilots who have done this. "Gee, it worked fine for a few weeks, then it started making a grinding noise" is the common complaint. Then gimbal roll limit / failure.
See this thread for my experience in filter selection: http://forum.dji.com/thread-43168-1-1.html
I have been using these for months and hundreds of flights without incident.
