I thought I read somewhere that to get around the 4GB video file limit you just format the SD card in exFAT format.

NOT!

Just tried it and it still split the video at 4GB.  And to make matter worse when you stitch the files together in the video editor, there's loss of frames so there is a momentary jerk in the video!!! NOT PROFESIONAL!!  WTF?!
