On different photos it seems not to have.

I second this question I would like to know if the barrel unscrews like Phantom 3 ADV, 4K's and Pros as well as P4's.   If not that will be a deal breaker.  For pro work, must have ND filters!

It will have ND filters in the near future but the barrel does not unscrew like the P3 (non standard) and P4 so we'll have to wait and see when they become available.

The very first thing i was thinking about, i want to put on ND-filters on this thing,, cuz i know Gopro aint gonna have that, thats whats suppose to make DJI more professional. So please dont forget our ND filters ^^
i wont make the P4 -> Mavic Switch if i aint hear anything about it.

Well, there will be many 3rd party Neutral Density filter offerings for the Hero 5 as there were for the preceding models of GoPro cameras........."aint there"

Did you guys see that Polar Pro listed Mavic ND filters on their site? Available Oct 20th.

Interestingly, they say it threads onto the Mavic.

The filters thread onto the DJI Mavic camera with a precision threaded aluminum frame. I

What is this frame you speak of? is it the surround of the filter, threading onto the Mavic Cam or a frame of yours that attaches to the Mavic Cam?

Not a filter question alone but is there a chance to change the the focal length with a special lens in direction of the P4 (around 20-24mm). I guess if filter will be available this could be another interesting product for the Mavic?!

Hmmm, wouldn't 'press-on' filters cause vignetting?  It seems some clarity, light transmission, and several other factors could/would be affected as well.  I'm comparing these to the P4 & how the glass unscrews, thereby allowing an optically correct fit.
This was a HUGE concern of mine & I've asked about this in countless YouTube video comments with no resolve lol.

Our engineers have locked in a design that is not going to vignette. Whenever you can you want to shoot through the least amount of glass possible. Adding 1 extra layer of our PolarPro glass (cant speak on other companies glass) should not create a noticeable difference other than shutter speed being perfect

I think the lens on the Mavic has about 6 glass elements, adding a 7th shouldn't degrade image quality so long that it is not a cheap piece of glass.

Mavic has 8 elements.

Will this be of the utmost quality glass like your bronzed-colored CINEMA Phantom 4 filters or will it be the cheaper glass like on the BLACK metal Phantom 4 filters?  I've read the REAL reviews on Amazon & other forums.  The CINEMA filters are incredible!
And these slip-on, right?  How are they held in place?  What about when the camera is in the 90 degree (straight down) position?

No, a well designed push on filter will have no more chance of added vignetting than a screw on type.

You filter hand wringers should take a chill pill. I really chuckle at the "threaten not to purchase" posts.

There will be a plethora of every kind of aftermarket filter and accessory for this wildly popular drone.

The Cinema Glass is extremely nice, the standard HD glass is also a very high end glass.
For the Mavic, we are going to begin with our HD glass, and then roll out special editions.

They will be a pressure fit installation, they will not fall off, guaranteed.

These filters just went into production, we were going to begin preorders today, but decided not to due to Mavic shipping delays. The Mavic filters will be available 1 to 2 weeks after DJI starts shipping to the US.

It's not all useless, you've seen the amazing footage that's already out there right?
Yes, ND filters would make it easier and look nicer in the conditions when it's needed.
But to call it useless, is not correct at all.
DJI will have ND filters available at a later date, and remember this is a hobbyist aircraft not a fully blown Professional aircraft that requires every tool out there.
