omg dont get me started on the argtek lol. i such high hopes for it. but... well stock got 1600ft and gor mt argtek went to fly in open started to get return to home just under 600 feet went several other locations the best I got was 800. Had a friend with the DBS mod knew I should have bought it but Argtek was cheaper anyways went and bought the DBS mod simply put it to the Argtek  mount instd of drillin holes for dbs connectors. first flight and ever since 2000 plus. Since the DBS mod got good range I know I did nothing wrong with my installation of argtek  mount on to the controller. its alot more compact too. but to ans your question it probably would be best to just buy a brand new controller. I actually consider doing that before putting the mod on the factory controller so I don't void my warranty. Now I wish I did

I can answer your question on the friend request. No, you can't friend a DJI rep, that option will not work for them. On the email thing that's how they do it mostly, post the email address on the site. Think about all the junk mail you get now, it's not like a million companies don't already have it.

Since your aircraft crashed before, it's possible to cause any issue.
For your fly safety,it's better to send it in for evaluation.

It's in the controller but you didn't catch that
A $50 controller fixed the problem
