i would highly suggest that if DJI could make a warning message to remove the gimbal cover before turn on the phantom and it really helpful.
like " PLEASE DETACH YOUR PHANTOM GIMBAL COVER BEFORE YOU TURN ON THE PHANTOM"

And I'd suggest you to remember do some check before your flight.
If you forget to take off the gimbal cover, the app may pop up the error message "gimbal overload".

cool. but just try to send this request to your engineers to implement with new next firmware .

pre flight check list... make one, use one, all pilots do.. u will forget things, unless u have a checklist

Would take nothing to do this there is a constant beeping on the osmo if you don't release the gimbal.

What I did was put  a long red Ribbon on it so I would not leave it on and forget  .  Just use some two way tap or adhesive.  It helped me immensely , I mean it is easy to forget .

Well, if there was an audible, loud audible notification on whatever is says when the gumball is overpowered ;)
But I still think a checklist is the best choice - I went way overboard on this one, but..... feel free to steal and modify to your liking.. I have it printed out, laminated, and have a dry erase marker with me.. not always, but most of the time I go through it before flight..... makes me feel more "organised".. and lately my brain is not always with me, so I it a useful thing...
Now.. Adding a customizable checklist to the GO app.. that would be an idea!!!!

its not about the warning after gimbal motor react. there should be a warning message before gimbal motor react in order to prevent damage to that .
