I just got my Osmo Mobile, balance the phone, powered on and the gimbal seems like it's powering up and initializing, but then it stops and the status light flashes yellow. This is right out of the box. I'm thinking I have a defective gimbal. I've tried numerous times and always get the flashing yellow light. Thoughts?

Maybe is the phone detector sensor..try remove the case from your phone ( if you have one) or try put a tape over the sensor..

I did try that as well and same problem. When the Osmo is powered on the gimbal will rotate right or left almost all the way, go back toward center and then go limp and flash yellow.

Sorry about it, please contact support.us@dji.com to send it in for an exchange.  Sounds like a screw inside the gimbal is loose.

You have to fully charge it first
