Hi Adrian, I'd suggest you buying DJI products on DJI store or authorized DJI dealer.

No, it is not genuine, one of the photos shows the brand name on it. And you run a number of risks with it, first of all that it may not work at all in your Phantom, because if the Phantom works out it is a non-genuine battery, it will not even take off.

I have  a brand x battery with no problems.

I dont understand the logic behind buying a drone at 1000 odd pounds, and then even considering cheaping out on a battery! Defies all logic in my humble opinion.

Agree...why lay out big cash for an expensive big-boy toy just to save a couple of bucks/pounds/euros on a non-brand. You have no idea what kind of quality control, if any, goes into the materials on the non-brands.....think "low bid..."

It is not a case of wanting to buy a rip off battery, I want a genuine battery at a reasonable price. These big companies like Apple etc seem to rip us off in Australia. A new genuine battery here in Australia is over a third of the price of the entire drone. I just hate being ripped off, if some one can point out genuine battery at a good price I would be happy.
