Hello.
As winter is coming in slowly I was thinking how to properly store batteries.
I have 3 batteries and a charging hub that keeps them at 50% in storage mode.
When season will end and I know that I wont be using drone for few months should I keep batteries in hub and connected to AC power or should I just unplug them and store?

p.s. its Phantom 4.

I would keep them in the HUB with it plugged in, in storage mode, in a cool dry room...  That is what it's designed for.

You forgot the main reason, the sun is lower in the sky, just make sure to look the other way.

I am planning to store my batteries in storage units like https://www.jiffystorage.com/. But my friends said that sometimes the storage units may not allow battery storage as some of the batteries are hazardous. I'll try to store them there or else I'll just store them in my home with at least 50% charge so that they'll not get freezed.
