Mavic  Intelligent Flight Battery is rated at (3,830mAh/11.4V).

What I know is that:

The quantity permitted is based on watt-hours (Wh). Wh establishes the lithium content by multiplying voltage with the ampere-hours (Ah). For example, 14.40V x 5Ah battery = 72Wh.

I will be traveling overseas in november flying into Prague and leaving Frankfort to the US.  Does anyone know if these batteries will be allowed and is there someting I can print to prove that they can fly?

Thanks!

The official DJI specifications say the battery is rated at 43.6 Wh...  That should be Airline OK.

The big question is:  Are DJI batteries UN 38.3 approved?

Unless it has a UN 38.3 approval... The Airlines can reject it.

Ditto Fulgerite ->
From the MAVIC specs, the Intelligent light Battery has 43.6Wh of energy each.

For US regulations, the FAA allows passengers to carry-on any number of lipo batteries under 100Wh. They must NOT be placed into checked luggage!
So you can carry-on as many MAVIC batteries as desired. If you're flying with the Inspire TB48 which is 129.96 Wh, you can only carry-on two spares.

You may download and reference this FAA document -> http://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/headquarters_offices/ash/ash_programs/hazmat/passenger_info/media/airline_passengers_and_batteries.pdf

FAA Pack Safe -> http://www.faa.gov/about/initiatives/hazmat_safety/more_info/?hazmat=7

There are similar documents available from the US Dept of Transportation -> http://phmsa.dot.gov/safetravel/batteries

UN Transportation Standards -> http://www.phmsa.dot.gov/hazmat/regs/sp-a/approvals/un-3rd-party

Safe travels...

Actually you completely glossed over UN 38.3 which is the only pertinent standard in effect.

And yes...  Anything under 50 WH should be fine for most international flights as long as it meets UN 38.3 standards.
