Amazing photo sphere -- care to share some details how it was done? As for the monument, seems like a REALLY remote place to put it. Does anyone actually live in it?

Glad you like it! It's made from two sets of stitched images, the Phantom to take the lower half and a SLR camera on the ground to shoot the sky half. The images are then merged together to give a complete 360 by 180 panorama.
It's not lived in but is a popular landmark and has been open to the public once a year on "doors open day" when many usually inacessible places are open to all. There's a bit of history about it at http://www.airlieestates.com/history.php
It is rather remote and there are houses and farms further inland which must be cut off completely when it snows!
Ah-ha, really nice job. Did you by chance also do a POI flight around the monument while you were there? It would be nice to see some more detail in that 115 year old stonework. A real shame somebody doesn't get to live there and enjoy the amazing view on a daily basis. At the very least it would be a great place to put a webcam!

I do have some partial POI style clips which I'll put together for you and post up. I didn't fly very close to the monument but it will show a little more of the monument and it's surroundings.
A webcam would make interesting viewing throughout the seasons - an excellent timelapse project ;)
AH-HAHAHA! You're right. Pizza is serious business. You could probably edit some of your footage together to make a commercial for Domino's! (Do you have Domino's in the UK?)

We do have Dominos in the UK I can imagine the drone being followed by hungry birds to its destination concluding in an entertaining doorstep spectacle!
Sorry for making you feel a bit unwell. I'm so used to processing some mind bending 360 imagery I forget how real the feeling of vertigo and nausea can be triggered by imagery alone. I'll never forget how ill I felt spectating a game of Quake online in in the early 2000's!
