Just ordered the Mavic pro combox bandle. How can i get a hold of the manuals before receiving the unit? is it possible to download a pdf?

If you have IOS, the Mavic has already been added to the GO app and the quick start guide is in the app along with some tutorial videos.
For Android, it should be added soon.

Google already indexed some. Waiting for user manual.

I'm wondering if there will be any other manual than the ones already mentioned above. If you look at the "What's in the box" under the section manuals you see only the 4 already available now.

They will ship when they ship and we do not have any other info.
If you chat the online stores, they would have the most up to date shipping into.

I can only hope they include very clear instructions in the manual AND a user-accepted prompt in the DJI Go app that operators should tap to focus. Otherwise the internet will be riddled with more people complaining about blurry video because they didn't read the manual.

Why this wasn't present to begin with blows my mind, since this was such a major change in operation from previous Phantom models. (I also wonder if you can set autofocus/set focus when doing programmed routes where the controller would lose connectivity)

Remember that those early videos were posted by people who NEVER read a manual...  and the firmware & software was BETA.

By the time DJI releases the Mavic it will default to the same focus as a P3 or P4.  You will be able to tap to focus.  But if you don't it will default to a setting that results in the same focus as a P4.

I have that version as well (v1.0 from Sept 3, 62 pages). It was emailed to me by a support person, who offered to send it to me when I asked if one existed. It does have a few errors in it, like mis-labeled controls on diagrams. I emailed them a list of things I found, but they just scolded me for having a copy... It was weird. They asked me not to share it, so I have not. All I can say about the manual is that it does not contain anything we all don't already know. It is clear, and easy to read, but as they stated... Not done yet. It DOES look like it is a modified version of the one for the P4, as some of the diagrams show the P4 body. They just don't want bad information being circulated. You are not missing much by not getting it yet. If you are new to DJI, just read the P4 manual, as 90% of it is the same. I am sure they will release a final version soon.

Yeah I know , but with Mavic due to ship on the 15th, might be time to have manual up to date, dji are always making a big thing out of reading the manual before we fly, so hopefully we will see it this weekend..

The Quick Start Guide, and other documents were only recently posted. I doubt it will be much longer. They probably need to fix the errors, and then have it reviewed by legal, and then they can re-post.

Just so you know what's in there...
It has all the basic information about how to unfold the drone, plus locations and info on every interface (micro sd slot, micro sd port, button, wifi switch)
There is detail on all the buttons, dials and sticks on the controller (which charges it's non removable battery via micro usb)
There is detail for the smart battery, and what all the lights mean, in terms of charging percentage, and error codes (it really IS a smart battery)
A lot of detail about return to home, and all the flight modes, plus the obstacle avoidance.
It even describes elevations and distances for restricted air space (obviously, a generalization)
Information on all the different colors and flashing intervals of the front arm lights, and rear light, of the Mavic.
No information about FAA or registration, which is odd
Some warning information is in Chinese.
It's a good document, but again, most of the information is going to be the same as in the P4 manual.

Correct, for anyone wanting to study the Mavic manual, it will be up soon.
And read the P4 manual as it will be somewhat similar.

Good point. It would make sense for it to be a separate document contained in the US version of the package. As for the 5% of the worlds population, that may be correct, but I am guessing the percentage of Mavics sold to the US is well over 50%. Again, guessing.
