With the Phantom 3 and 4 people made all sorts of 3d printed things that were "necessary" and "must have" such as lens caps, Gimble locks and Gimble guards etc. But what do you think willl be made for the Mavic? I know Ken Booth has already made an adapter for tablets, but what else could be made that would suit the Mavic's smaller and different body style?  

Landing gears could be cool.

Water landing gear or something I can stick pool noodles to.  It's not that I want to land on the water but you never know.  I plan on doing video of a lot of wake surfing and foiling.

With the popularity of Mavic and 3d printing, I'm sure a lot of things will be made.

I'm sure once Mavic officially shipped, there will be a lot 3rd party accessories coming out.

An aircraft carrier so you can land on water...Just like a fighter jet or rescue helicopter does....Basically a floating/inflatable island.

I thought about landing gear for higher stance from the ground, but the water landing gear is a good idea.  I was thinking of making a better gimbal lock after reading someone's comments about it.  A sunshade that doesn't get in the way of your thumbs was another one.

I'm not sure what I'll make first.  Post your ideas and I'll see what I can do... after I get my Mavic, of course.

It's a little bit early to have 3rd party accessories. But I'm  sure after a while we're gonna have a bunch of them, like bags,  landing pads etc

I know DJI has said they will offer ND filters soon.

I was talking to lume cube yesterday they are just waiting for Mavic to design holder for their fantastic lume cube lights, for night time flying.. short video below

For landing pads, I was thinking of a beach towel - maybe folded in half.  Either that or a roll-up mat.  Nothing fancy, just something I can stuff in my pack easily.  We'll see what works best after some experimentation .

They are pretty powerful with 10 different settings, you can see your drone miles away in the dark, dji Ken on here uses them, for photography maybe 5/7 meters so not very high, but man do they make your bird look good at night time.

Good thought! After all the meaning of having a mavic is to travel light and not thinking where to put your staff!

Polar Pro is already on the job.  Awesome filters on all the Phatoms so I'm hoping the ones for the Mavic will be just as stellar.  They are . . . . wait for it . . . . a pre-order item right now

Actually, it's more important as a takeoff pad than a landing pad, but yep portability is the whole point

I tried out the beach towel idea yesterday, and it worked, but it really needs some weights at the corners to prevent the Mavic from blowing it away.  I think I'm going to try the wire framed automotive sunshade next.
