I was one of those who preordered in the first few hours. Of course it is still likely that many thousands will go out before mine, but that is not my question. I'm not asking when my personal unit will go out...I want to know when the first units ordered via DJI directly be despatched?

I spoke with DJI through the chat feature and they were able to look my order up and tell me when it will ship. You mat want to try that.

When did you order and when did they say you would get it?  That will give everyone an idea.

When did you order and when did they say it will ship?  (The DJI store wasn't working or I would have gone that route but wound up ordering from Amazon instead and I have a delivered by date of Nov 2-4).

Thank you. They gave me a very general response so you might have got a more helpful customer service rep: Mid to late October.

It's always difficult to know with DJI products.

Depending on where you ordered from I'd say it's most likely to be late October / early November.

I read somewhere that they will begin shipping Oct 15th.  But they ship on a "first come first serve" basis.  I would not expect your Mavic to arrive until lat October or early November.

I've delt with DJI for 4 years now and you can't believe a word they tell you about when your item will be shipped. Just wait for the shipping e-mail.

Just talked to dji chat rep and got the generic response.  Orders will be shipped starting mid Oct on a first come first serve basis.

If the first unit's ship date of mid Oct doesn't slip, that would be good news for everyone.

Honestly we do not know, it says shipping begins mid October of first come first serve. So if you ordered in the first few hours you may be in the first come first served.
I think there has been several hundred thousand orders and this is probably DJI's most ordered product and I hope all of you don't have to wait too long for your orders.

Ken you may not know this, so I totally understand if you don't.     Do resellers like Drone World and others get an allotment from DJI at the same time their own supplies start shipping?   I'm assuming this to be the case as most other products work this way.   For instance:   When Apple launches a phone they ship a certain amount of supplies to resellers right away and also sell directly.

Honestly, I have no idea. I know some dealers have ordered thousands of them each. The Mavic orders are absolutely insane so I don't know who will get theirs first. But I'm guessing direct DJI online orders first if you ordered the day of the release. But we'll have to wait and see.

I've been eyeballing the resellers and their dates have been sliding with DJI's on new orders.   My existing order through Amazon still says it will arrive between Nov 1-15th.    If you order now its late Nov.  

Therefore I think DJI will most likely send a set portion of their stock to resellers like most companies do.   The resellers then also fill their orders based on first-come-fist-serve with the stock they are sent from DJI.

The P3 and P4 were extremely popular, but the Mavic is by far the most talked about and ordered aircraft DJI has seen.
There may be a million or two by the end of the year, that's just me guessing.
I don't know how they are allocated, but eventually everyone will have them.
I know some dealers who have ordered a few thousand each. So the Mavic is by far going to be the most popular drone out there.

See I wondered the same thing, however I ordered through Newegg, and as of yesterday they are still advertising a ship date of Oct 18. The thing to note is these are drop shipped directly from DJI.

This reminds me when I first got engaged to my wife, her brother told me getting engaged is like getting a bike at Christmas and not being able to ride it until Easter lol.

When I chatted with DJI online they told me mine would ship Nov 4th. I ordered it Sept 29th.

I know everyone is really excited about the Mavic but I don't much care about when I receive it, I just want it to be undamaged and in working order "when" it does show up.

You don't ask for much.

I ordered September 28th as well, but haven't gotten a delivery date as of yet. I'm really hoping it arrives mid-october, because i'm vacationing for a month, visiting 6 countries in Asia. Already have a P4, but purchased the Mavic for its compact size. Fingers crossed...

I was chatting with a customer service lady today and she mentioned that if I would order the Mavic today it would be somewhere mid to end November when I get it. What a pitty, I would need a drone a little bit earlier. I have a few trips coming and now I have no choice...

I order mine on the 1st of Oct and this is my status of of Wednsday

well I cannot wait till I get it but I want to know if there are going to be more regulation on this craft since its pretty much a very secure craft unless you override all the security and not follow safety precaution towards other. I would believe people are more responsible and think about the security of others because I totally understand if this thing fell on someone head or worst a propeller hits someone it could do a lot of damage and probably death.
