Hi all,

Currently have a p3 pro which im happy with, but i have been interested/wanting to buy an inspire 1 before i got my p3 pro. I am now in the situtaion where i am able to buy an inspire 1 but wanted to know few things before making the decision/choice.

1 Is the inspire 1 v2 and the inspire 1 pro exactly the same apart from different cameras (x3/x5) eg do they both have the same motors/frame/structure/features etc ?

2 Is it worth waiting till an inspire 2 comes out/released ?

3 Could i buy a v2 then buy the x5 to replace the x3 in theory making it a pro ?

Any current issues with the inspire 1 i should be aware of  ?

any other tips/advice would be greatly appreciated

1) Yes the same Motors, vib absorb plate, etc. Only difference is no landing gear risers.
2) Who knows??? But Inspires are selling very inexpensive now. I bought mine in January for $3000 and it now sells for $1600!!
3) Yes. That is what I did. Got a V2 with the X3. Then I got an X5 and all I had to do was add the LG risers. Sold the X3 and haven't looked back once.

My only other suggestion would be to look for one with the woven carbon fiber and not the 'camo' type. I have the woven and can't say for sure that it is stronger than the other because I have never broken an arm. BUT, I see pictures all the time on ebay of Inspires with broken arms and that are ALL the 'camo' type. I have never seen a picture of a woven arm broken.

I see the inspire 1 v2 is £1500 right now, ok so i could get the v2 with the x3 then replace the x3 with the x5 and buy the landing gear risers aswell, does the x5 hang lower to the ground/is it a bigger camera hence the need for lg risers ?

The price difference is alot, £2000 between the v2 and the pro.Im pressuming the inspire 1's with the woven frame are the earlier ones ? or the latest version ? i'll have to have a good luck at the store i'm buying it from (dji authorized seller/authorized repair centre in the UK)

They have switched back and forth between the woven and camo fiber. Nobody can get an official answer from DJI as to why. My V2.0 was bought in January 2016 and is woven. I have seen Inspires built both before and after that time using Camo. Here's mine....

The X5 does hang a bit lower than the X3. The main reason for te LG risers is that when the camera pivots down, it comes lower due to longer lens / camera body.

Many thanks for the pictures, as i can see there is quite a size difference between the x3 and the x5,can see why the lg risers are needed. I have emailed the seller/company to get a answer to the question about the woven/cameo frame.

There are those that say there is no difference in the carbon fiber. But, again, I have never seen a picture of broken woven fiber tubes.
The woven also looks cooler.....
