Hello DJI

Why as all platforms have facebook live but the Osmo Mobile doesnt ?

Same happening to me ... If I find an answer I will post here...

That capability should really be removed from the marketing on the DJI site in that case.

This is very disappointing as this was the main reason I purchased this. It really should be removed from the marketing until you can actually do it

I am also really disappointed that this feature is not available with Osmo mobile. Please fix it asap pleas! I need it in 2 weeks....

You can live stream from the Facebook app if you really need too.

Any updates on this fix?

But when I use livestream in the Facebook app, I cannot use the DJI GO app (and thus the OSMO) can I?

No, Facebook wouldn't allow us to do so because they want customers to use Facebook up to stream on their phone

I just received mine today and i need to return the unit if it's the final answer.
I'd rather buy MEVO then.

We're still negotiating with Facebook about Live Stream, but we don't guarantee it will work.  

That being said, you can still use Facebook app for live streaming while using Osmo Mobile to stabilize the phone, you just won't be able to use the Active Track feature.

Hopefully,,,FB and DJI comes to a agreeable term.
I really wanted to use the active track function,,,,it tops off Mevo FB pushes.

Any updates on this? It was advertised on the website that Facebook Live worked with Osmo Mobile. Then I bought it and discovered there was no Facebook Live. I wrote to DJI and they told me to be patient, that it was coming. Is it coming, and if so, when?

Sorry, it will not be coming for a while, Facebook doesn't allow DJI Go to use their live streaming on Osmo Mobile.

You have to use Facebook's own app for streaming, you can still use the Osmo Mobile for stabilization.

If it is not coming for a while and can't be done on the Osmo Mobile then why does your website say that it can?

Can you please amend what is said on your website to reflect the truth? It doesn't look good on DJI to be lying on the website about what the product can do when it can't actually do it.

Unless you change that lie on your website it makes you look like a very dishonest company. Not a brand that can be trusted!

True.  Also keep in mind that Live Streaming does work directly from the DJI AP but currently only on YouTube and one other platform.   I don't think DJI's marketing is misleading, except to the extent that we all believe *myself included* that I think of "live stream" as just a facebook thing.  In reality, it's not.    I agree that I find it strange that we have one DJI AP that supports so many different platforms..each with their own functionality and limitations.

Thor, thank you for the clarification.  So if I am hearing you correctly, it is NOT a technical limitation of the Osmo Mobile, but rather, it's a limitation of Facebook's side and their insistency that people do not use 3rd party aps to stream?

If that's the case, I think hope is not lost because there are many third party aps and software/hardware that allow users to live stream directly to facebook without using a phone.

Good luck, as I am an avid Osmo, Osmo Mobile, and Inspire 1 user and rely on all of these tools frequently.  It's an exciting time for live stream video. It's a new concept that is quickly becoming the hottest topic in social media circles.

Facebook allow us to use their API on DJI Go for drones, but not on Osmo Mobile, because they think phone video shooting is their territory and they are not willing to yield.

but I've used my friends iOS device to livestream from the Osmo to Facebook... has that feature been removed or is this guy just extremely uninformed or trolling... ? DJI dropping the ball on this stuff big time.

OP is talking about Osmo Mobile, iOS  FB Live doesn't work on it, but works on Osmo
