hi, I have literally just sold my P4 on fleabay to fund my new mavic. It had relatively low use (10-15 flights) but was pristine and never skipped a beat during every power up and flight nor was it even close to having a scrape. The guy I sold it too has got in touch after a couple of days to say it was fine but has now generated an IMU fault and is unable to calibrate no matter what advice he's tried from DJI. I know this isn't beyond the realm of impossible but it just doesn't feel right, he's asking for a copy of my original sales invoice as he's sending it back for a warranty repair apparently but this has my name and address on it, not his?! would DJI honour the warranty in this case and would my invoice be valid in his hands?

Hello dj.trillium, the warranty is based on the activation date and invoice, the aircraft will be evaluated after we receive it, if it's caused by device faulty, under the warranty period and accord with warranty policy, it will be free of charge. Please do not worry about it.

I meant if you bought it from DJI official channels, then you sold it to another person, and provided the proof of purchase to him, then he could enjoy the warranty if it's accord with DJI after-sales warranty policy.
After we receive the aircraft form him, our engineers will evaluate it firstly and tell him whether it's covered by warranty if any issues.

Thanks, this is SUPER helpful.  So just so I make sure I understand.  As long as the drone is ORIGINALLY purchased from DJI or an authorized reseller, the warranty is transferable to the new buyer as long as the buyer can provide the original sales receipt, correct?

Secondly, what did you mean by "if it's accord with DJI after-sales warranty policy?"  What specifically  is the DJI after-sales warranty policy?
