I'm curious on the Beta program, even mine still say "certification". The validity period for the beta test is 16-23 Oct. How do people beta test in this period when no one has their Mavic yet?

How does one self-disqualify from the beta? The original date I had received for shipment would have been this week, but now that it's shifted a month, I cancelled the first order and will order a new one when stock is available. But I don't want to take up a slot for someone else who might be receiving theirs soon.

No one has recieved one yet.... this is a pre-order.... why cancel?

I received confirmation of my order today, hopefully shipping will follow soon. But since this is just a pre-order, I will patiently await the arrival of my Mavic

Well, I was late to the order game. Needed to do my research first. Then, when I decided to proceed, CarolinaDronz had an estimated ship date of this week. But once that was shifted to Nov 20, there wasn't any reason for me to just let my money sit idle for another 30+ days. They refunded the order quickly and professionally. Now I'll watch for units to be in stock.

Still certification here too jl1030.

Asked about the goggles as a "package", email says, not until the news release. I am hoping to get ...

well at this point we are thinking the goggles will go for sale at about $700 and that is a little pricey it you put that together with the drone and the extra batteries so ill have to wait till the price goes down.

Same here, the Mavic seems like the ultimative drone for hobbyists and even "somewhat professional ...

As of now... Mavic is an 'All-rounder' (Performance, portability, camera and battery life).

I hope you will share some footage once you have received your drone (^.^).

With regards to the usb C problem: you can always get a USB to USB-C connector.

Shoot, I'd beta test but it looks like I won't be getting my Mavic until after that validity period lol

I didn't see this until now, I put in for the Beta Program as well and think I would be of value. I've done Beta for Native Instruments for certain products. My Mavic is on order as well since day 1.

first - Hi, , tell us since the shipping date pass of MID - October is there going to be a bonus added to our orders? Like additional Battery?
2nd - I see from the photos that there is (2) red lights emitting from each forward leg/props , to be similar to aviation guidelines, one show be green and one red to let one know if its coming or going away from you.
3rd - plastic parts and composite parts - all good based on the quality - but - our danger we all forget is UV. UV can deteriorate the properties of plastic and composites blades. What type of UV coating are in the plastic and composites blades?

Everyone will be beta testing their turkey first, before you can try the Mavic. lol

I see the beta testing recruitment period has been extended though the 30th of this month. Possibly they'll have shipped by then...?

Personally, I have an Android for my cell phone but for flying the Phantom/Inspire I use my iPad Air or Mini3.
For me, it just seems like the GO app works better on IOS.

I use both.  Beta testing has always been fun and cant wait to start this new mavic.  The inspire beta's at first were great.  Look forward to testing again.  Nice to see you still taking care of business Ken!  Keep these guys straight.

Go for the 7 plus. Love mine. The screen is great for the osmo. I had a fire(note7) ordered but it got canceled.

Ya, that's what I'm hoping for. Still have several more months left on my contract

AMAZON PRIME just has to be the worst reseller for DJI. Now they are saying that it's not to be released until December 1. I ordered mine since October 12th

Got my Mavic four days ago( either mon or tue, this week is a blur), still haven't had time to even update it..... sheesh... Ordered it mid Oct., I am a happy soon to be flyer.

Is there still possibility to enroll into this BETA program? I already did registration on beta portal.

As far as I know this program is no longer active. For that matter, I can't recall hearing from or about anyone actually participating in it in the first place, so I'm not sure that anything ever really came of it.

It does seem that way at times.

Thread closed. Program is over a year old and ended a long time ago.
