Not really, it's just that song really annoys me now, I've used it many times

I try to not be repetitive when it comes to background music .
So for me it was the first and probably last time i used it . So you should be OK for my next projects
I try to get inspired by the music , i think it helps to set the mood .

but i'm really looking for good free royalty-free music

For other collections of free royalty-free music try www.purple-planet.com. Most of their pieces are under 3 minutes. They also have premium, long format (15-30 minutes) pieces for sale.
Another site I like is www.joshwoodward.com. His music is a combination of instrumental and vocal pieces.

We use multiple stock music sites in our videos and many have very affordable "for personal use" prices:

audiojungle.net
audionetwork.com
audiosocket.com

For some really excellent music that is the least stock sounding, check out Marmosetmusic.com

Nice video!  Thanks for posting.  Just a suggestion, instead of the fade to black, use crossfade or cuts as a lot of a fade to blacks can really be tough of viewers eyes, especially mature audiences.

Beautiful videos and colors and like the way you edited either one. Something I'll have to learn how to do. Can't wait to get hold of my Mavic, just to bad I missed out on the fall colors here in British Columbia, got plans for next years fall and salmon run.

The Salmon run ?
That should be something special to see .  
As far as editing goes , look around , see what you like and your own personal touch  . Be it colors or transition styles , make it yours . It's art after all .
But a rule of thumb , 2-3min long 5-10sec clips, different POV

Thanks for the pointers, always useful. Will have to practice on some video clips and be ready for the real thing. I like Landscapes, been doing them  in 3D programs and wanted to expand into the real thing whether it be video and photos.

It's a sockeye salmon run and every 4 years is a major run which is 2018, which means I'll have to wait yet another year but can practice next year. Can be as many as 4 million salmon in a small part of Adams river, quite a spectacle and I live about 15 minutes from it. Some beautiful country around there too.  Here's a link if interested.

Yes!  Definitely better in my opinion and guessing that the majority of audiences will enjoy more.

Both videos really were good,
If I were to pick a format I'd say the second.
But to each their own opinion.
Colors were amazing and a beautiful place to film.
