Can i ask why the samsung s7 and s7 edge is not on the recommended list? This are one of the most popular phones on the market. Looking on the forum since the latest update the dji app is crashing mid flight which could potentially could cause a crash.

The DJI list of approved devices are ones that have been thoroughly tested to work well with the power hungry Go app.

It's not about a popularity contest, but what will actually fly the DJI drones best, without problems...

So then can you answer this why is the Samsung s6 available on the approved list but yet s7 and s7 edge isn't on the list. So these latest smart phones have the ability more so than predecessors to cope to tough demands of apps.

It's simple ... DJI are very slow to update the list.

I think it has been said here by dji mod that it is a problem on Samsung's side..

I don't think it's as simple as to update the list. People are reporting that the app is crashing mid flight.

The Samsung S7 edge works great with the P3 Standard because it doesn't use the USB cable. All other DJI models connect with the cable and this appears to be the issue.

There is no reason, as long as you are running a proper OS and updated app, you are fine.

Just uses WiFi, the controller has its own ssid/password. It's never crashed in the 15hours it's been connected.

I thought Samsung took all the s7 phones off the market with instructions to send back for refund, because of the fire hazard.

The recall only affects Galaxy Note 7 - not the other S7 products.
