I got similar, and I think that one too. Messages repeated so brought her in to land and calibrated everything. Not flown again yet.

I'm having the same problem, i've made the VPS calibration via the DJI Assistant and the message continues.
I've reisntalled the app, updated the RC firmware....no use!

Would you please post us a screenshot of the message?
What mobile device you are using? firmware is up to date for both remote and aircraft, right?
You noticed this message after APP upgrading?How about the environment when it poped out? would you please record a short video for us? thanks.
Generally speaking, when "forward obstacle sensing system" is turned on, and detects an obstacle in front it, you will get that message, at this moment, you need stop move sticks. If aircraft is very close to the obstacle, the aircraft can only go up rather than forward, left or right, you must move stick backward and then control aircraft's directions.

We got that message aswel yesterday. Flying phantom 4 using Android device controller and aircraft with latest firmware and app upto date. We first notice error message before we took off.

As Natalia said, this is normally a message for when the forward sensors believe there is something in the way. Have you already tried calibrating the sensors via the Assistant 2 Software? What mobile device do you have?

I too got that message about a dozen times in my flight today? i have never seen it before today, the only think i did was let it update the DJI app and the remote firmware today

I'm getting the same message since updating my firmware for the controller today.  Of course I'm on a paid shoot today and my p4 video quality is glitchy and sucks.  Dji, you guys should be ashamed of all the bugs that you release out without warning.  What kind of lackluster testing are you guys doing!!!! You should have it dialed in at this point.  Booooo!  Making me and my work look bad.

To clarify, are you using an Android app or iOS? Could you verify what firmware and Go app software you're on? Have you tried reinstalling the app and calibrating the sensors?

To clarify, were you getting transmission quality issues or was this on your recorded footage? What mobile device and Go app version were you using? What firmware do you have on your unit? Was that shoot your first flight after updating, or did you have some flights prior to that? Did you attempt a sensor calibration in the Assistant 2 software to alleviate the obstacle avoidance warning?

I did a controller calibration but not yes a VPS calibration. I use a Samsung android tablet.

I did the VPS calibration and will update on the results after my next test flight. Thankfully I didn't need to understand the Chinese language video inside the Assistant app. Can you add english videos inside the assistant app on the next update. "Hi, i'm TY" His videos are perfect.

Been having this "braking" issue for last version of DJI GO 3.0.0 on Android ... but I see IOS Screenshots above so doesn't seem limited to one or the other  Updated FW ... no changes ...

RE Doing all calibrations today.... will see if continues.

Not to muddy the water but the SYNC flight records issue still happens to .. been about a month with out sync to cloud via my Android.  Is there a thread here about it somewhere?

To everyone,

We have reported the issue and hope to have this addressed with the Android app as soon as possible. It would still be great if you guys could still calibrate the sensors to ensure they are functioning properly. Worse case, you may need to disable obstacle avoidance until this is rectified or use an iOS device.

I am running DJI Go v3.0.0 (504) on a Nexus 5x phone with Android 7.0 i have not tried re-calibrating anything but it has been fine for the past 120 flights but if i get some time tomorrow i will restart the phone and try again

Had the same issue using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S with my P4. Did calibration...twice then uninstalled the DJI Go app and installed V2.9.1 and the problem went away.
I'll wait for this "bug" to be sorted before updating the app again!

I did yesterday the calibration, will see what happens in the flight when is stop raining.

I had the same response for the DJI Osmo. Buy an iPhone or an iPad. You should never tell the customer to fork out money to fix an issue you have caused by putting out a bad update to an application. Especially an application that controls $1500 of hardware we already forked out to buy with our hard earned cash. I work in conservation with my drone in a 3rd world country. Do you think I have the cash to fork out another $1000 for an iphone or ipad. No I don't. Please fix the issue and stop telling me to buy more stuff because of your poor development and testing workflow.

I'm not suggesting to buy an iPhone, it's mostly to better troubleshoot an confirm that this is a sole Android app issue and not firmware/hardware related, which would effect both platforms. Since at the moment there does not seem to be anyone on this thread is reporting the issue occuring on iOS, your temporary solution until this becomes addressed was to either use an iOS device (if you have one or can borrow one) or turn off obstacle avoidance off for the time being. The former would only be necessary if you must use obstacle avoidance or any of the functions that require those sensors enabled.

As of this morning there is an update for the Android version of the Go app, v3.0.1, I would recommend giving that a try and let us know if the issue persists.

I'v had the same issues since the update. I have been using the Galaxy Note 7 Android. I deleted and reinstalled the 3.0.1 app which did not fix the problem. Neither did switching off obstacle avoidance. Here I are the videos of my screen and also what was recorded directly to the SD card.
SD card recordings are fine but the video streamed to my device cannot be viewed after a couple of minutes. Also I have noticed that the camera has had a huge glitch mid flight. I thought I had hit a bird or huge gust of wind bit it was the camera turning sideways during recording.
I hope these videos help. Please fix this quickly I have clients waiting on me and this looks very unprofessional when I am on site and my camera feed does not work.

I have also experienced both the "braking now" errors since installing android version 3.0 and the versions in the "about" screen no longer show firmware version (now (blank) or RC version, that just says N/A.

I have updated today to version 3.0.1 and the about screen still doesn't show the versions. I will re-test the "braking now" errors.

Is there an easy way to revert to the pre-3.0 version of DJI Go?

@paulh Please let us know how your test goes ... I just updated to 3.0.1 and will test tomorrow if not raining... it didn't fix the Sync Fails issue I been having so I am barely 50/50 that it will fix this issue .  

If you find the pre 3.0.0 APK installer let us all know.  Seriously looking to revert back.

Hoping to do one more test before I have a photography/film project on a remote indian ocean island. Hoping this will be ok.

Have you tried uninstalling any of the 3rd party apps just to see whether they're interfering with the Go app or each other in general? Do you happen to have USB Debugging enabled? Do you see any difference when placing the unit back to factory default in the Assistant 2 software?
