I'm looking at making some templates for stickers (while we wait) and need some basic dimensions for the Mavic. I know some of you have it (testers) or perhaps even DJI-Ken can help with filling these in (see attached JPG).

UPDATE: I updated the graphic with dimensoins from DJI_Ken (Thanks!). I traced it in Autocad best I could. The picture had some perspective distrotion so it may not be exact but if Ken's dimensions are pretty close - you could scale it up in certain areas to conform to the dimensions. The only dimensions in the DWG that is dead on is 275mm (rotor to rotor horizointally). If anyone has updated info - please let me know and I will update it.

That would be great. Ideally a 3D model (only outside shell) would be great.. just need to get some accurate outer areas to maybe makes some stickers... just to pass the time....

Could you tell me what the distance is between center of propellers in both directions? Dimensions "F" and "G" in picture. That will get me in the ball park until I have more info.

Did you notice the bottom props are closer to each other than the top ones? So you might need another dimension (F is not same distance for bottom props)

I had "angry eyes" on my P4 (which I no longer own).

I thought of googly eyes on top, or, perhaps using hot glue to attach a lego pilot to the top!

Just kidding... I have no plans to put anything on mine, except for the required FAA number, and a DynoTag on both the drone and the controller. I also put a number, and a date, on every battery, so I know which is which, and how old each one is.

Also, an NFC tag on the bottom of the controller is nice. I use an app called "Trigger", to set the tag to:
Start DJI GO
Set brightness to highest level
Lock display in landscape
Turn on DND (forward to voice mail)
Set volume at max

Trigger is free, and NFC stickers are cheap, at under $1 each, and getting your phone ready for flying is as simple as just scanning the tag.

like whoa. i'm assuming you'll be using an android device because i don't think iOS has that functionality with NFC chips.

Yes. I will continue to usr android. I usrd to have iphones, but seitched to android, and think it is far more poerwful, and less restrictive.

I see some of the dimensions on the DJI site. But I think these numbers need to come from DJI or one of the lucky few that have one.

Not sure if you already have these, but I got this off of a review made by a couple of Chinese guys, so I do not know how accurate the information is. They stated that the dimensions when folded are: H83mm x W83mm x L198mm. So your B dimension would be 83mm and your K dimension would be 198mm.

Also, even though you do not have the dimension listed on your diagram, the diagonal from the prop to prop is 335mm. This would be, for example, from the front right motor, to the rear left motor. However, I am not clear if that is outer dimension or from motor axis to motor axis. I assume the latter.

I assume you are wanting these dimensions for a foam cutout, and want it to be exact?

Thank you. I wanted to make some stickers and I need the proper areas of the surface so I can cut them out accurately. I guess I don't need it down to the millimeter but being a designer - I like to be precise... LOL.

Just use a permanent market if that is what you are looking for.

The controller sticks are removable, right? If so, you don't need to include them in the height.

Hmmm, I think the 28mm battery width (U) might be wrong. The width of the drone (B/R/M) is around 83mm, which is more than double that.

It should be closer to 60mm, I believe.

I have been looking everywhere online for some more dimensions on the Mavic and controller to make my own sticker set too!
Now i can give my Gerber Edge FX and the Envision some food, and it will kill some waiting time on the "fly more combo" in the mean time

Hey - any chance of getting a 3D model of just the outside shell... no proprietary info?

Ken - sorry - I forgot another dimensions (in case it's not the same). What is the distance (center to center) between the front rotors? Is it 275 as well? Could you also verify one more time the over  length (shown as 200mm currently).

I'm probably going to try tracing these with a pencil to get a snug foam fit. There are some hard to measure angles.
