I spoke to a reseller in the uk (supposedly one of the biggest). Don't know if we can say names so I wont but they ordered 100. still some left by all accounts, He said that I could still order. Also said he had shipping confirmed as the 27 and he would ship them out as soon as he could after that. have any other reseller had the same info ? that was 2 days ago I will see if there is any update on the reseller side.

I'll never understand why any company would have these large keynote release announcements and not have the product ready for release.   As a non apple fan, you have to give them credit, with a few others.   The "Hey look what we have, and how great it is....but.....it will release later this year, or on such and such date....pst what a waste of time.  Just to trump the Karma.   


THEN, to come out with, well, we may not be able to meet demand, or shipping delays.   Seriously?   Are these companies this bad at marketing, operations, or just that good at spin.  If it's not ready fine, but stop lying.  No wonder consumer confidence sucks.  And hey, I get it, things happen, but this sure likes the same old same that it was never ready at the announcement.   It's not like they started manufacturing the day it was announced.

But for the fanboys, fine, however these companies need to be held accountable for misleading consumers if they have.   Don't say it's shipping if it's not going to be, and anticipating demand isn't that difficult if you are doing your job.   I'll still be getting one if they are actually as good as the early reviews ones appear to be, I'm just glad I didn't jump on the preorder disappointment wagon again.   Probably end up like so many other things and be able to get them in the stores before the preorders are in peoples hands.   The ultimate kick in the crotch when that happens.
   
I wonder if the sales reps will be in the Apple stores on what, Nov. 4th , 2nd or whenever as promised?

The mavic launch was yet another train wreck for DJI, after the phantom 4 launch went smoothly I thought that the train wrecks had ended but here we are, again. I've been through it many times with DJI so I'm not going to cancel my order but I fear many will. All we want DJI is to give you are money and receive what we purchased. I think all the negative feedback DJI is receiving is warranted because this is not the first time this has happened.

Shipping delays got you down?  Cancel and go buy a GoPro Karma.... oh, wait a minute, Karma delayed until 2017?  Damn American companies.

Don't rush it DJI. I don't want to have a samsung note 7 issue where my drone catches fire in the air and falls in a tiny fire ball into a populated area banning drones forever. Get it right get it tight!

Done playing this guessing game, I just email them to cancel my order! {:4_154:}

It's funny hearing about the cancellations:

OPTION 1: Wait (maybe not patiently, but wait) and get your drone based on availability.  Many on this forum are in "batch 1" so still get it as early as possible.
OPTION 2: Cancel, and never get the Mavic?  Or get it much later when it has broad availability?

I'm gonna stick with option 1.

Demand has nothing to do with shipping.  If you thought you would ship the number you anticipated to be ordered and you received 5 times the volume you anticipated you would still ship the number you originally anticipated to be ordered! Number of orders have absolutely nothing to do with the delay of ALL Mavics.

Thank you.  I have forwarded to him.   Yes he is feeling pretty beat up at this point.  He does a great job and we appreciate his contributions as well.  

Ok the confirmation of the Karma delay is the final piece in my puzzle. I think both companies sent cease and desist letters to each other. My WAG is they are fighting over the gesture picture feature that is in both devices. This would explain why DJI hasn't sent anything out even though they have been in production for weeks.

after several calls to jessops in the uk where i ordered mine from i was told the first batch will be arriving on 31st oct which is Monday, and then shipped out on 1st for a 2nd nov delivery, second batch is arriving 15th Nov for a 17th Nov delivery, not sure how relevant that is for you but im going to assume that this is fairly across the board over the EU at least

I'm not sure the Karma delay is worldwide if that one Australian site is accurate, I'm in the States and GoPros website still says shipping Oct. 23. If they had a major delay you'd think they would remove that since it's in a few days.

Was this today you were told this? I was told they'd get the first batch tomorrow (20th) for delivery 21st yesterday which is obviously not going to happen, but wonder if 31st is their new date...

As i can see above it's okay to post reseller names, so you can try out the german reseller rc-toy.de it has almost perfect reputation and they promise to ship on the end of October.

So a Mavic and a karma walk into a bar. Of course Karma went in first since Mavic has follow me. They each went up to the bar to order a drink but the Karma hit the edge of the bar - Mavic was fine - he saw it when he first flew in. Once Karma was resuscitated, Mavic offered to buy him a drink. They drank and drank into the wee hours of the night. Finally Karma says "Man - I've had too much to drink, I can't fly like this".
Mavic then says "Don't worry - I'll follow  you home, but I hope you don't live further than a mile and a half or I will have to carry you the rest of the way". Karma then takes off and goes to leave the bar with Mavic right behind him... of course Karma did not see that the door was closed..... they expect a full recovery soon.

That sounds good, I ordered 29th, so won't expect it until second batch if dji are operating same dates for their customers, would be great if I get it then as I'm going on a trip to Budapest, until then I'll still be enjoying my P4 which is a great aircraft..

10-15 days delivery time, so no, no stock or soon stock. Interesting that they use geoblocking.

Ive ordered mine on 11th of Oct morning GMT time does that mean im in a second batch ? As thought some pre sales said its 11th 18:00 Beijing time for first batch some say 12th Oct and some say im in November batch can some ine clarify that?
