Well if find it random they would take time to send that email out if it weren't true. Documentation is currently being updated and things can change.

I ordered all of those extra cables anyway just to have backups but its nice to know its included for those who dont want to go that route.

Anyway if the box shows up and no cable is included, here's proof it should...

I think he ordered the cable and they advised it came with the Mavic so offering to cancel the order for the actual cable, not the Mavic....thats how I read it anyway

the battery was HKD70 cheaper in apple store which i ordered 2, and they have fixed the discrepancy couple weeks ago.

I think that it would be significantly more expensive for them to send out the Mavic in little groups than it would be to send the entire first round out as one big group.

I work with a company that imports from China, and judging off shipping costs I would say that yes, shipping 5000 units three times is a LOT more expensive thatn 15000 units one time.

I think that they were only planning for x amount of pre-orders in the first batch but ended up getting way more, and now they want to be able to fulfill all of them in the first shipment to minimize the shipping costs.

Mine says the same thing but it hasn't been cancelled.  I too ordered within an hour (I actually think the presentation was still going on when I ordered) of the announcement so I could be in the first wave.  If they cancel my order I'm done.  This was my first purchase of a DJI product and this whole thing has left a really bad taste in my mouth.  Their own site redirected people to the amazon store so I'm shocked they would cancel the orders that they essentially facilitated.  So I get pushed to the back of the line because I ordered early through a site they suggested/redirected to?  Wow.

Taking the hit and shipping each batch out regardless of size, but retaining customer loyalty?

I'd say the second, but I'm no business man. To be honest, I don't consider losing money on shipping as an excuse for a multi billion dollar company. If this were the case, I respect this company even less.

Their CEO is a multi billionaire thanks to customers like us, and we are getting the run around. Screw em.

lol, they arent going to lose many, if ANY customers because of a delay... We're mad because of the lack of input not the lack of the item... you guys are missing the fact that the item will eventually be in hand. if it takes an extra month to keep the shipping cost down (which in turn keeps the product price down) then i'll wait. Threaten, piss, moan and imagine about canceling, but push comes to shove... most all will eventually purchase the Mavic.. at least until a worthy cometitor is out there.

People on here have already commented on how terrible DJI's cust service has ALWAYS been... yet, they are STILL the leader in the drone world (as of now)... they continue to build superior drones that has the most functions for a reasonable price... until someone SERIOUS comes along and puts up a fight people will continue to deal with the poor cust. service to recieve a superior product.

It seems they ship directly to customers and they will be shipping all the time anyway, just more for this short period. They will have an account with DHL or some other large shipping company that will charge them by the total amount they ship per month/year.

Also if this was the case they should have shipped all the domestic orders out as these are shipped by a local delivery company.

All I'd like is an email from them ... apologizing ... and giving something concrete ....

Yeah i agree. but looks as thought its just going to be hush hush, rush until they can actually give you good news. Some find this acceptable, but most dont.

Was rather bummed that I had to order an extra cable, then I just got that email.
Already emailed them to cancel the extra cable. Hope its true though! Wouldnt want to have to use an older phone while waiting for a type C cable lol.

DJI has been in business for 10 years, I assure you that you need to not worry about your investment. And if you are worried, cancel and get a refund then purchase when they are available at a store you can walk onto and grab one off the shelf.

What I find incredible is that they must have hundreds of people working on manufacturing these drones. If there is some shady reason they have not been shipped. Surely one of the workers would have spoken to someone who would leak the info?? The fact it's all kept so bloody quiet is unbelievable

Nope, it's 7am here in California.

I might got a new info.
I was writing with a German Video Producer who has got a mavic "Preproduction modell" from dji for rent.
He said that he has got the info that they will start shipping even this week. So cross your fingers that this is true!!!

That's the only explanation really. I can understand the highly paid dudes not leaking info. But the factory workers give no F****. Unless the Chinese are a lot more respectful to their employees than the brits and yanks!
