Yep, I agree, it's monotonous. My guess is that most people aren't even reading the thread, just replying to cherrypicked comments that they did read, not realizing that plenty of others have said the same thing.

See what the dealers got told

My dealer said initially that the Mavic would be shipped by 10-17, but that did not happen. They are now saying that DJI told them shipping, presumably to the dealer, would begin Nov. 5th. I am assuming that first come first serve by the dealer will happen soon as they receive what DJI promised to them.
Of course my money is in the hand of the dealer, but from a business standpoint, if I was the dealer, I'd want the customer to finance the products delivered to the dealer, so as to not have to go to the bank to get the financing.
That said, we sit here with our hands folded, awaiting the arrival of the most appealing and perhaps best consumer drone ever built.
Damn I wish I had it already to photograph the New England color.

Delays happen. Just wish I had even a proper estimate directly from DJI. The fact that nobody there has info likely means it's a serious issue. They obviously made enough to ship one to every YouTuber that films with drones so how hard is it to go in to full production? Has any product been delivered to consumers? I just find it distasteful that they have no problem immediately taking my money but can't give an update with substance? Shipping delays happen and they look bad. But shipping delays with no real communication is worse by a lot and shows contempt for the client.

I cancelled my order out of fear that just maybe the 1st mavic drones may have been built in a rush and I would rather have one that is built properly.

This isn't how it works.

The factory has a preset on how they Handle the assembly of the Mavics, like a template if you will.
Just because there are Shipping issues, doesn't automatically mean that the later build Mavics will be more 'Safe'.

The 15,000+ Mavics that are produced per day, aren't made by people, so if there really are production issues, all Mavics wil have them and if what you state is somehow correct, DJI needs to absolutely contact everyone that received a first batch for a overhaul of all Mavics.

Could you please update (and keep updating...say once a day) the first post of this thread with any (new) information. Or even a line something like:

20-10-2016: No new official shipping information yet.

Maybe even a short FAQ with rumors that you can acknowledge or disprove. Like the wait is not on patents, SW updates, etc.

This threads length is growing fast and many things are answered in it...it's just that it's spread out over 31 pages now and kinda is getting snowed in between good people having a bad time and bad people having a good time.

I think this might help forum visitors looking for a quick answer to some questions. Saves a lot of scrolling. Thanks !

True, but when you click a thread it always brings you to the first post on the first page ( off topic: An option to go to the last post has already been requested somewhere...I think).
Also, although like you said, people will talk about it when words gets out. I'm still interested in the comment/statement of an official DJI employee.
