Seems like the article is being critical of us for wanting a bit more information. And they act as if us contacting support is somehow causing the manufacturing process to slow down some

I do think that DJI never intended to ship October 15th. And only said so to take out the treat of the GoPro drone. Personally if they don't start shipping 1st week of November I am canceling and will mostly get something else just because.

Another theory but it sounds right...

Same here I'm not bothered about the delay I'm still excited about receiving my mavic and it's a good feeling when it finally arrives so my excitement lasts longer. I have faith in dji so I'm not worried.

I'm sorry Stanhersh44 if you feel you keep having to post anti DJI stuff here.
But please conform to the forum rules.
The Mavic will ship when it's ready and hopefully soon we will have an official update.
As far as the threads going away, it's DJI's forum and I'm sorry if a few threads were deleted and the mass others closed. The ones were closed so we don't have 50 different Mavic shipping issue threads.
That's why a moderator created this thread so everyone can post their concerns here.

You know what is the problem that all you people are watching videos of those famous youtubers making thousands of dollars and they get one for free and we have to wait for one online, on top of that, adding the delay the shipment which burns inside of us all, me included... They should of just present the product and post the date of shipment like apple does. Every one wants to copy the presentation style of apple, everyone is doing it, because it works, to make early cash for the company... What they should of not done is, give the thousand of mavic pro to these spoil youtuber, like, Casey Neistat, he gets everything for free, he wanted to get the Karma for free, listen to him how he speaks to the representative of gopro, when he was given a test drive of the drone. What bother us all, is that these youtubers, for their fame they use them, for bigger marketing, to get as much costumers as possible, the word out is, that their product is better than the go pro karma.. Just the presentation kept us intrigued, like it was not good enough, but to start seeing all these youtubers shooting with the drone. It pissed a lot of people, even more, when they did not kept their promise with the release date. This goes out to all companies stop copying the apple style presentation keynote, they been doing that shit way before anyone since their manufacture the computer in their garage. Next time dont give your product to keep for these spoil youtubers, especially Casey that guy is damn spoil wants everything for free, like I am the king endorser for your company. Gopro did a good job in not giving the drone to the youtubers to keep that way it keeps all of us intrigue.. Now I know how the mavic function and all: I am not in no rush, yeah I am a bit anxious about them not being able to keep up with the world demand, but they are responsible for what they did, by leaving so many drones in the wild of the hands of youtubers.

Simply giving the reason for the delay would have removed all this angst.

Perhaps there was a recall and that would scare customers off on wanting to continue their pre-order of the first batch?

Such a pity a company with strong tech can't get the rest of their act straight after all this time.

This is totally incorrect information and you shouldn't be getting that info anymore.

Again, there is a delay and I'm sorry. As more information is given we will update you and you'll probably get an email as well.

I didn't feel like that seekingalpha article was biased against DJI. I think it's a legitimate point to make that DJI is hurting itself with this delay (and handling it in such a clandestine manner) when there's a competitor that will have its new drones alone on retail shelves for a month or more.

I was not talking about the article being negative, I was talking about the poster.

Interesting that reviews are continuing to come out, even after we saw Ken decide to stop them (a totally legitimate and logical move to make if you are selling more products than you have, my ecommerce company does the same thing).
