Hello pilots,

How do you choose the best custom channel? Is it the one with the highest green graph or the one furtherest faway rom red channel?

Jack (AV) one of our members has set a record with up to 5KMs range using custom channel option.

Set the channel display to manual and set the channel selector to the channel that is the farthest from the base line.  I check that every time I change locations.

I've been having the same issue recently. I was doing manual channels cause it seemed to be better on my video feed, but I'm wondering if switching to auto would in fact give me better range.

It doesn't make any sense.... In auto all the time.... Sometimes I fly over 1,5 Kim without any connection failure and some other times I am loosing connection in 20 meters away. I recently discovered that if imu calibration is done properly, as well as compass calibration , i have less signal loss. I have also discovered that when I'm loosing signal I point  the antennas to where the inspire is and signal comes back.

I used to have more than one mobiles with me as well as the wifi and cellular data was on on the iPad. Not for the past 30 days though!

So is there a general consensus among experienced pilots that manual channel selection is better or auto is just as fine if not better?
