While I don't disagree that the launch/hype/release could have been handled far better, and may have been a quick attempt to lock in any traffic that would have (likely regrettably) gone in for the Karma, I don't think we can deny the current complete and utter superiority of the Mavic compared to existing or announced options. There's a reason they so brazenly shipped it out to reviewers without restrictions...
So yes, it sucks that we won't get it quite as fast as we were led to believe, but cancelling orders just to slink back later and rebuy when the market STILL hasn't caught up serves little purpose. My prediction is, assuming a reasonable delay (not months), this blip will be forgotten shortly after people have this little beast in their possession and everyone returns to singing praise for DJI once more. Compared to the world of game development (read: delays and vaporware) or kickstarter promises (also read: vaporware), two weeks is nothing at all...
I myself am still stoked, and hope I get my hands on it in November sometime.
