I was experimenting with the latest firmware updates a few days ago and I found that if you CTRL+ALT+DEL the Assistant Software in the middle of an update, it reverts your NAZA MC to 0.0.0.

For example, if your NAZA was jammed you could do this as a last resort. It worked for me.

I'm assuming the update will first blank the Naza of any current firmware then update to the new one, the knack is to catch it at just the right point, however like BIOS flashing (essentially the same) there is a chance that you can do it to early and it wont work or to late and you screw the new firmware, however as Panamomcreel says the best way is to use a connector between the jumpers on the naza unit.
