As far as I can see there are 3 different charging options for the mavic.
The regular 50w charger.
The 78w car charger. (Why does the car charger charge faster than the regular charger?)
The 100W phantom 4 charger (For this you need a seperate adaptor, not currently available or is this it just a seperate 4 way adaptor you need (currently not available))

Are the connectors for the phantom 4 batteries the same as the mavic? Can the phantom 4 100w charger directly charge a single mavic battery?

The connectors are the same but the voltage is different so you cannot charge the Mavic battery directly with the P4 charger. You need the Advanced.

Thanks.

"The Advanced" is the advanced charging hub? (currently not available?)

Is there anyway to use the car charger without plugging into a car? I can't really see why the car charger can charge faster, surely you can draw more power from the mains than a car cigarette lighter...

Just a guess but because a car is running 12v there won't be a need for a voltage regulator so you can ramp up the amps without too much risk.
