I ordered mine off ebay just a few days "oct 19th"  and got a tracking number does this mean its on its way?
so many different tracking numbers//// not sure why that is.
whats strange is the weight "Weight 0.033 lbs"

strange... i've been in touch with that seller along with others on ebay, and all says not in stock. did you order the combo or just the drone?

for them to provide tracking number, then you are in good shape.

If you ordered the kit with the 3vdr goggles that is probably what is coming.

.33 lbs＝5.28 oz so it could be the goggles.

It's not the goggles. It's a piece of paper. That seller sends out printouts about the drone. I got one then cancelled.

Not at scam. I ordered from the same seller. They ship you papers confirming your order. I literally got two pieces of paper. One was confirmation piece and the other was a picture of the Mavic with my anticipated ship date. Nov 24 - Nov 30

I have seen some ebay sellers doing this - send an useless mail or package to you and put the tracking # into ebay. Then ebay will track and confirm the package is delivered to the buyer. And the fund will be available to the seller soon after that even the actual product has not been sent out at all. Be very cautious about this kind of seller.

I would still be cautious. eBay has a habbit of taking the sellers side once delivered tracking has been provided. You then need to prove beyond any doubt that you in fact did not receive what you paid for which with some of the eBay reps is easier said than done. I was almost scammed out of a mountain bike in a similar situation and spent a fair amount of time to make the situation right.
Maybe using the weight of the package versus the weight shown on something like the DJI site might hold up.

let's hope this guy is telling the truth.

I asked for a refund with ebay after i got this in the mail today see image.
I am very skeptical when someone sends a printed image of the drone.
when I bought it off ebay the listing said it would delivered by the 26th of oct.
But right after i sent payment the listing had changed to a pre-order that to me people is very deceiving...

So i hope ebay and paypal will handle this because i put out another 1089.99 to bestbuy and had to pay tax and don't get the extra battery.

I looked, and yes he does have a lot of feedback, but he sold at least 400 Mavics, even at only $1K, that is over $400,000. Kill the checking account and ebay account and keep the $400,000 or make say $50 each, plus it looks like they shipped it.  I hope you really get it, I don't trust eBay, for anything over $50.00.

Did you have to sign for the package? If you did, then PayPal will show he order complete.

Item Not Received claims - If the seller presents evidence that they delivered the goods to your address, PayPal may find in favor of the seller for an Item Not Received claim even if you did not receive the goods.

Keep an eye on the buyer feedback, if it drops quickly then you know things are going bad. Also those links I sent you, you should read. You only have so many days to dispute the transaction, and I the buyer says he will be shipping after the deadline, then you are screwed. I got ripped off years ago, so I'm trying to help you out. In my case they sold a bunch of high end laser printers, then closed the checking account linked to PayPay, so when PayPal tried to get my money back, bummer the account was closed, and they would not give their own money. I even had the police back east go check on the seller, but even the home address was made up, the buyer had only 10 feedback, but 100% good.

Hey guys, I'm new to this so bare with me.

I also pre ordered from taus784 and got extremely worried when i saw that stupid piece of paper but said whatever. But then, I asked for an update 2 days ago and he replied "after checking we can't find that you placed an order". So I

Called PayPal eBay to make sure I can get my money back and also when that cutoff date for a refund is. (I'd recomend doing that first) then I called the taus motor place (same # on the photo someone posted above) and they said that the first shipment  won't arrive to them until the first of November which means if I don't have it in my hands by the cutoff date for reimbursement I cancel my order then. I wouldn't spaz out and cancel right now. The order did say that expected delivery was the first week of November when I ordered on oct 1st and with shipping delays at dji it makes perfect sense that they won't get them to ship out until the first. It's easier to try and relax once you realize you can get your money back at any time up to a certain date and also having that date.

Oh and also tell PayPal to start a claim when you call. It's just a kick in the pants to the seller and also a paper trail of the status of your order. (Reason for your claim could be that you haven't received the item you ordered, just the paper)
That's enough for them to threaten the seller

I forgot to say that when I called tausmotors they did have me in their system as ordering the Mavic pro for the $1,099.00 (same package that you ordered) I would never deal with this guy again and would discourage anyone else from dealing with him but if you already have just cover your bases right now and find out when you need to cancel. I think they are banking on people not following up as they will be able to keep your money after the 30 days.

I ordered a battery from reputable eBay seller they shipped week later a peice of paper stating that it jwould be shipped in first come first serve basis and blah blah blah so don't get your hopes up.

these sellers are legit, and just another victim of DJI delays like everybody else. But report it to ebay and paypal to be sure not to release funds to seller.

A seller with that much feedback probably has a serious business going and isn't going to shut the account down. (The account is worth good money)
I think you have 60days to open a dispute and once the dispute is opened both sides can state their facts and ebay just acts as an intermediary, unless a satisfactory decision cant be made, then they will step in. So as long as you open the dispute before the 60 days you should be fine.

I am sure as another poster stated they are just another victim of DJI's incompetence.

I wouldn't buy an item this expensive off ebay though unless there was a significant saving to be made.
