Guys,while we are all waiting for our Mavics to show at our doorstep.I found a video showed how powerful Mavic is.
In this video,Mavic hit a tree,and while it drops to the ground,it automatically balanced itself and kept flying.It's amazing!

How the hades does someone manage to fly that slow and still fly into a tree?    No wonder like 90% of drones purchased are crashed.

what the heck were these guys in China doing? trimming some tree branches?
Pretty cool it corrects itself the best it can from such events.

That's pretty impressive. It was only a few feet from the ground when it cleared the tree too.

Maybe DJI will release some serrated, finely sharpened stainless steel props for this so we can all go into the pruning business. No hand catching that one though!

Really scary but the Mavic has its own way to save it self ;-)

Shows short props might be an advantage when clipping trees, asshole pilot though.

I think everyone is missing an important point. Why didn't the obstacle avoidance system work? I myself crashed an UpAir One into a tree, it fell about 25 feet and then flew off into another tree 50 feet away. The gimbal and camera came off, but nothing was damaged.

Looks like it was going sideways in to the tree.  Vision system wouldn't see it.
