I have an Inspire One V1 (d) and I have had no problems with my Inspire. My firmware updates are not up to date.  Here is where they are:

                           Aircraft                            1.6.00.4
                            RC                                  1.5.80
                            Camera                           1.7.00.9

DJI App is now 2.8.7.  Should I keep updating the DJI GO App or stop.  I would appreciate your input.

Hello Bob,the firmware update is not required.
You can use the old firmware version if everything is fine.

Personally I would not move until the New RC and Aircraft update prove to be without glitches.  You could update to 1.6 on the RC and 1.8 on the AC and then you could also jump to the New Go app as well. This is where I feel saft at  for now .

If you are not having any trouble you might just want to stay put , I would hate to be the one who told you to change and then you have troubles.   If you stay put , I would not update the Go app, I dont know if itwill play nice with the older FW on the RC and AC .
Just my opinion .

You need to weigh up the benefits of staying at the current level of firmware vs what new features if any are in the new firmware and app.

All great advice..thank you.   I think I will stay where I am until the firmware issues are resolved.  I just want to make sure I can keep flying safely.

You should be at latest FW and SW on all your devices. I have learned this from Ken Booth and Barry Blanchard. I have 1000 flights with my Inspire, about 50 on my M600 and " god knows " how many on my previous Phantom . Always latest FW and SW.

If everything is working for you... leave it for now.

Wait until the new FW is released and then give this a few weeks before jumping onto the band wagon

I feel the next version is going to solve a bunch of the bugs with the camera and HD video...  they will add some new things as well

Ive purchased a new Inspire V2 updated everything and cant see a live feed on the tablet. Tried pretty much everything . Next is to roll back a FW step. It works then don't touch it. Ive kept old FW on both RC and UAV on my P3 pro. Flies brilliantly. Just need to get the bigger bird off the ground now! Rich
