I am replacing my controler with an updated one.  I looked to see how to connect it in the manual.  The manual clearly shows how to rebind the 2.4 extender and the vision app.  Ok that would take care of the the camera and vision.  What about the 5.8 control signal.  I do not need to bind that too or is this done through the extender?

If you are using the same range extender then you don't need to worry about that. (I thought the new upgrade transmitter came without a new extender so you just swap your old one over)
The manual will tell you how to link the transmitter.

I did order the new transmitter and all I had to do is link it to the Phantom.  I was already binded with the range extender.
