BestBuy says that you will receive your DJI Mavic on October 31st if you order today (10/25).  Who has ordered from BestBuy? and who thinks BestBuy they will actually get them to us by October 31st?

I saw that too on their site. I would say no way can they deliver as promised. If your thinking of purchasing online, before ordering online call your store and ask the manager if they will deliver by then. Also ask if they will give a discount if they don't deliver. They won't, but ask anyway.

I ordered this morning - says I'll have it on the 31st.  I also have a 2nd on order from Amazon (E ZEE Electronics) that I ordered on Oct. 3 - that's still stating I'll have it by Nov. 2nd.
We'll see who wins.

My guess is they are just too lazy to update the ship date or they will ship the free extra item that comes with it on October 31st just to lock people in:

They actually did update the ship date today. They bumped it one day to November 1st unless you pay for 2 day shipping you can still get it October 31.

Don't get me wrong. I don't have any expectations, but the ship date they show isn't just because they haven't updated it. Somebody adjusted it today.

Oh and I removed the "free" item from my cart at checkout. I still see that I will "get it by Oct. 31" in my BB account. We'll see.

Of course Best Buy has it in stock, it's obviously the best place to buy anything.  DJI knows this, they gave them their best shipments for us to buy.  This drone is going to be the best buy I make all year.

Would it be better to order the Mavic through Best Buy then?  Just in case it does happen?

I canceled my order with DJI (submitted on Sept 27th) and placed an order with best buy yesterday. Called today to confirm everything was on schedule. They said they have them and I should receive it by the 31st, but it could be earlier.

I just got off of the phone with BestBuy.  I ordered mine yesterday from them with the receive by Oct 31st date and BestBuy told me just now that mine will ship today.

You can always order from Best Buy as well. You can cancel if it hasn't shipped or even if it ships they will return 100% within 30 days if it is not opened. Couldn't hurt...

I also jumped on the BestBuy order bandwagon even though it costs taxes and my Amazon preorder does not.    We shall see if it ships.    Drone World through Amazon is still telling me 'first week in Nov' but they give no details whatsoever.   Heck I'd rather get it from Amazon if I had my choice.

I ordered from Best Buy yesterday as a back up because my combo hasn't shipped. My ability to dispute my DJI charge disappears on Thursday, so hopefully I at least have a Best Buy shipping notice by then.
PS I bet the multiple orders completely hoses up DJIs production numbers.

Just placed my order with BB.....I guess we'll see if the 31st is true.

BestBuy Canada is 30 days unopened, the US must be different.

Just as an FYI - I just called since my invoice shows arrives as early as October 31st but release date is Nov. 15th (in Canada), they confirmed that the 31st is an error and they expect to ship on Nov. 15th.

See that right there makes me think the US Oct 31st date is an old placeholder they haven't bothered to change.

i highly doubt that I will get the Mavic from BB on Oct 31st but i ordered anyway worth a shot. If Best Buy ships before me DJI combo order WTF i'll be heated and happy but will probably reconsider doing business with DJI in the future.

I am a Best Buy customer , if you buy a nominal amount of stuff they will give you 45 days return policy.

I have purchased 2 Phantoms  Pros and 2 Inspires's from them .  They are very easy to deal with  as well in my opinion.

From past experience - It is quite common for the Canada Best Buy release date to be after the US.

Can they fix this error because I called also and they said since you pre-ordered, you will get it earlier, maybe it was a guess? I think the November 15th is the error and should say October 15 for release date. I guess it makes me an optimist.

I hope that your rep is right and mine was just guessing....

who knows but we will soon find out.

I ordered from BestBuy today with a shipping date of November 1st and simultaneously cancelled my order through DJI directly. I think DJI must have promised delivery to BB as this is a huge vendor for them. I like my chances of getting the drone sooner from BB than DJI direct.

That sounds way too good to be true. Although they did take my money instantly yesterday without shipping.(They said they charge upon shipping)  Let us know if they ship it.

If Best Buy gets these on the 31st......before me, I will be pissed off

Unless you are an elite plus member you have 45 days. I bought the Phantom 4 then this was released. Pre-ordered the mavic and returned the Phantom after 44 days of flying. No questions asked.

Just phoned best buys in Washington and 3 stores I phoned said the website says it will be delivered but we're not expecting any stock to ship sooo.. they said they couldn't confirm if i purchase I would get my mavic .. they don't see how it's possible if no stock is coming... ahhhhhhh

Thats funny normally the store will know nothing about the website....Who did you speak with

Is the relatively local store to someone even related to online sales and online pre-orders? How do we know they aren't being shipped directly from China ? Would each store locally have their own set of mavics for that area? I know nothing of how this stuff works but it's interesting following these threads.
