Cancelled BB. Probably a day away from cancelling direct order. If these guys are able to stay in business after this fiasco, it will be a miracle.

I must say this experience has been the Worst Buy I have ever been involved in and that unfortunately is no joke.

me too... seriously never dealt with anything like this before. and they wonder why this forum is such a madhouse. money out of pocket and not knowing anything, will do that.

Agreed, very unpleasant experience and seemingly very dishonest company. DJI better make sure they stay on top of the consumer drone business because right now they have a large chunk of their potential new customer base that wants nothing more to do with them.

Maybe it's time to start teaching the guys in the "shipping department" how to handle the online refund process. You know, since they have nothing else to do. Seriously though, I just got the 30 day punt from Best Buy, but I feel for you guys who have 1K+ already out of pocket. At least I could go hit a couple buttons and cancel, no harm, no foul... but at this point, although I ordered 10/13 I still feel closer to the front of the line.

I sold my drones for this drone to take with me to Europe. Definitely not the fault of BBY in updating us on the new date as this is entirely on DJI. But what is the point of the "Get it By Oct 30, 21, Nov 2nd" If they can just move it back. Man talk about lame! Luckily I used a Best Buy credit card so I haven't been charged and I did the interest free financing so i'll stick around until it ships but during that time i'll be in Europe already....UGH. Screw you DJI really screw you guys.

Just checked inventory system at bestbuy; the drone is not even in inventory anymore; as in, as of now, bestbuy is not selling it, even though it it on the website, there is 0 stock everywhere. So, nothing that we do not know, but, just confirmed it myself. Same applies for the GoPro Karma. Even the Karma has been delayed by 2-3 weeks.

What I've been saying for a few days and getting flamed for it. Anyway reality has now taken hold.

I didnt but I am ordered from BestBuy Canada and I just noticed the release date has changed to November 23rd from November 15th

I'm canceling my order and not looking for another till probably April. November 30 isn't the final date yet, they can shift it further..

Well, the first experience with DJI was a bit frustrating. It's getting cold here, manual clearly states  from 0C. We can fly below that but only as long as nothing happens, temperature is logged no doubts. I'm going back to my fleet of relatively cheap and DIY birds, at least I don't cry when they crash. New project is 4K sub 250gr racer

Just checked now, mine says the same thing and this is a copy from my purchase time "Order Date: September 28, 2016, 23:15:54 (PST)" late night order...I did call BB once before and the guy thinks I may be getting it sooner, but it is unlikely.

It just baffles me why ours says Nov. 23rd and US is giving a 30th date?

My order date is October 24, 2016, 09:38:54 (PST)
It now states... Release Date: November 23, 2016, Free delivery arrives as early as Nov 16.
This is all messed up, guess it'll come when it comes????

The other guy and I both ordered on Sept 28 still say deliver as early as Oct 31. I think it reflects on what delivery date they were stating at the time you placed the pre-order. Guess will just have to wait and see.

Certainly a bunch of Best Buy US pre orders got pushed back, but most of them ordered later on more recently based on the false delivery time being advertised on Best Buy US website.

Any new info with best buy pre-orders????

Same here, no change from their previous update to November 30th.  I would say they are like every other reseller out there (even tier 1 resellers) and have no idea when or how many they will get at any time.  I anticipate another push probably on November 28th that will set it out to mid-December.  I have nothing to base this on, no rumors or conjecture, just my gut feeling.

I will be checking the Bestbuy Inventory system periodically to see if there is any movement, but to be honest, there will be nothing until Close to Black-Friday, or possibly after. In other News, The GoPro Karma (W/Hero4) will be in bestbuy stores Next week...but have heard the drone is terrible...lol

No one received anything from Best Buy and they have no units, just like virtually every other vendor. The soonest anyone is estimating is December 1 and even that may not be realistic.

At this point waiting until December is probably better, they should have a better firmware out by then that hopefully fixes all these problems.

I spoke with Best Buy Canada yesterday and was advised that my "receive as early as by Oct. 31" meant squat due to manufacturer delay. They advised that we shouldn't expect the mavic to ship before the new release date of Nov. 23rd

I was at a best buy today and noticed they have a very nice DJI display in the store.  They show a picture of the MAVIC in a very nice display case saying "COMING SOON"   I asked a customer service rep when do they expect to have this new drone in stock.  He looked it up on the computer and said NOV 30th,  He asked me if I would like to place an order now and he would call me when they get in, I placed an order with him.  I am so excited this will be my first drone..............I love DJi products.

Crossing my fingers and toes...........I just read that same post. My point is,  best buy has a very nice dispaly for DJi products.........  I never seen this before and was impressed that DJI has so much realestate in best buy.  This does not come cheap to have your product on shelves with a major retailer.  GOOD JOB DJI..............

It is likely, you misunderstood their statement.They will be clearing the orders from Nov 3rd and prior *within* 7-8 weeks. Orders made earlier should be trickling in before that. Again, assuming first come first serve or something close to that.

7-8 weeks is to catch up to the backlog from the beginning of pre-orders to Nov 3rd orders...  They aren't going to just ship all orders at once 7-8 weeks from now.

I am so confused.......................DJI can you clear this up for us.

Why is hallmark so insulting I don't even know you so please stop bothering me.  

I cant wait for my new drone to be delivered its very exciting when you have to wait for something you want so bad.  I am glad I saw this new drone at best buy it looks really cool.  I just looked up the drone on u tube lots of videos showing it flying.

Bestbuy and other retailers have orders placed with DJi as priority prior to customers ordering directly from DJI, as the retailer orders in Bulk. So, it is SAFE to say that, people who ordered from DJI will be getting their products probably right after or during same time as larger retailers. DJI's email was for the people who ordered from DJI directly. Regardless of where you've ordered from, you'll get the Drone either this month or next. Its just a waiting game now. And the reason DJI has a larger display in Bestbuy due to the amt of revenue Bestbuy brings in for DJi sales. Also, this holiday season, Drones are going to be huge for sales.
