I called Best Buy 3 times this evening.
Best Buy Call #1 30 mins got through to call center op
BB: "Awaiting authorization is your bank's issue"
Me: "Really? Is that why my order has changed status 4 times today?"
BB: "Yes"
Me: "Well how does that explain how the order status of hundreds of other people has changed today?"
BB: "Well, that's true. But your issue is your credit card. Call your bank"
Me: "OK... I'm not believing your scenario, but let's play it through. I call my bank and they fix whatever the issue is and... what happens to my order? Does it go back to one of the other previous statuses? Something else?"
BB: "Your product will be shipped"
Me: "Really??? Shipped?? So, you're telling me that Best Buy has physical product in hand, and when this is sorted out you'll immediately ship it to me??"
BB: "Yes. That is correct"
Bank Call #1
Me (to bank): Why is this issue happening with Best Buy???!!!"
Bank: "Best Buy hasn't even tried to charge your card. They could charge $17K and it wouldn't be an issue"
Best Buy Call #2:
30 mins of muzac, then dial tone appear like an operative is going to pick up. Tone for 30 seconds and then... call dropped!
Best Buy Call #3:
BB Robot IVR Voice: "What product are you calling about? Was it TV.... or something else?"
Me: "Something Else"
BB Robot IVR Voice: "What product are you calling about? Was it TV,... or something else?"
Me: "SOMETHING ELSE!!!!!!!"
BB Robot IVR Voice: "OK, let me put you through..." "We are outside of our normal hours... have a GREAT day!"
