I am using page 31 of the manual. I still cannot turn off the controller. After so many minutes of showing "Connecting_", it starts beeping and just dispalys "TO SHUTDOWN". If I touch any button, it stops beeping then displays again "CONNECTING_".

The power on/off is the same for the RC as the flight battery.
Press once then let go, then press again for a few seconds.

I got it to shutdown. I'm a dummy.

There is another thread regarding defects (http://forum.dji.com/thread-67721-1-1.html). Ange1walk posted this "Just try press it once and hold it for 3 secs.". That made me thing "timing" of the sequence in doing so. I was "too slow" between the first press and the second. Essentially when screen goes blank you have to press and hold the second time around. That's it.

Thank you Ange1walk to send me in the right direction, or to turn on my brain!

Thanks DJI-Ken! I guess I needed to think "double-tap" and the second tap is holding it down.

I just read your comment. You made me feel special. You sent me back in time, like late 90s, the early troll era. When constructive criticism was unheard of. When sarcasm started to be at its prime on forums and discussion boards. Therefore I thank you for that throwback. You put a smile on my face. And possibly gave me a tiny glimpse of what DJI-Ken had to deal with in the last 3 weeks.

You are awesome and a champion. I don't care what others have said about you.

Not trying to make fun of you, it was however a serious question. If my son came to me with his car keys and asked where they are supposed to go and how do they work. I would be Extremely worried about his ability to safely drive said car...

There are no stupid questions ....just wanker replies.  Isn't asking for advice and help what a forum is about?

Replying to a post that's four years old isn't the smartest thing.
