Hmmm, I just checked my B&H order and it now says "New order processing 1 Day Delivery" so hopefully something is happening.  

It used to say "On order" this morning, just like it has for weeks.

Also, the SanDisk card I have on order with the Mavic has said  "New order processing 1 Day Delivery" for weeks because it is in stock, but I put that I just wanted it shipped with the drone.

Mine still says On Order and mine was placed on the 30th. I hope yours means something, but that means I'm gonna have to call them and see why mine isn't. Keep us updated.

It says that new status on my COMBO order placed on October 9th.  LOL, that's the day I learned that the DJI Mavic Pro even existed!

It still says "On Order" for another Mavic-only order placed on Oct. 25th.

That's odd the combo would release first, opposite of the way it's gonna with DJI.

Order placed 10/8 and it still says On Order UPS.

Let us know if that change on your end means anything (I hope it does)

I'm sure it'll say "On Order" again tomorrow.

I just emailed them to see if I can get any updates, I'm not expecting to hear much.

Placed my order about two hours after the release announcement, here's what I just received:

"DEAR JERRY,

We are sorry to inform you that the DJI MAVIC PRO PLUS FLY MORE COMBO is on back order by the manufacturer with no estimated time of delivery. As soon as we receive it from the manufacturer, we will promptly ship it to you and you will receive an email with a tracking number at that time. We apologize for this delay and for any inconvenience."

Gentleman and Ladies.  i am new to this.  so let me be clear.  this would be my first drone purchase.  i am leaving for a trip to scenic iceland in late november. (23rd)  and this would be a great addition to the group of 10 friends that are going.  does anyone have an opinion on whether there is a chance to get the drone by then if i havent yet ordered?  also does ordering the combo pack assure a quicker delivery?  and anyone have any ideas as to whether apple stores would be having them for first come first serve at the stores on november 2nd.  as I've read in other threads.  any advice is appreciated.  thank you in advance

I would say ordering online would be your quickest, but you're looking at December 15th as the earliest that I know of. Apple won't have in stores until December 21 in the states.

I went to the local Apple Store and they told me 6-8 weeks, and that was Oct. 25th.  Their website now says Dec. 21st and it used to be Dec. 16th last week.

Personally, I'd go to the local shop selling them and buy it there in case the unit is defective and then dealing with mailing it back and forth and RMA stuff.

so quick update.

i live in nyc.  and i have been emailing with Roger from brooklyndrones.nyc in past 30 mins.  (nice Customer service for sunday night)  he assured me that i could pre order now and they would have enough in their first shipment for me but if i wanted any extra batteries, they would only be available with the combo orders.

Yea, I got that backorder email this morning as well. I really expected B&H to be one of the bigger suppliers but after all this I'll probably go for Newegg next time around.

Checked with B&H again this morning. According to the rep, they are still awaiting for DJI to commit to delivery date for their first batch of Mavics. Just thought I'd update those in the B&H camp.

UPDATE: Just spoke to B&H.  It seemed they were just as annoyed at DJI (and people like me checking on the status) as I am.  The new info is that they will NOT be receiving Mavics in this week, and they have no further info.

I hate it for them because I don't see this at all as the retailer's fault. I think they are about as frustrated with the lack of ETA as most on this forum are.

I guess I'm close to accepting it's going to be awhile before I get my hands on one. Also hoping, they charge before my wife forgets that she "signed off" on me buying it .

I ordered from BH the day of the release, but have had no luck getting updates from BH like some of you so I appreciate people sharing this info. Info just recently from another retailer was Nov 14 for whatever that is worth.

Woke up to an unprompted message from B&H this morning. I got all excited only to realize it was just a reassurance that the Mavic is still on back order.
Oh well, I guess it's good they are communicating.

Its not looking good for us at this point I do not think the apology DJI posted about 7-8 weeks to clear out initial orders will apply to us even though we placed our order early...  I have no idea how DJI is handling orders from retailers but it does not appear to be good.

UPDATE: Just received the tracking info.  I chose the 3 day free shipping so will receive it on Wed.

Nice.   I ordered the non- fly more at around 1:00 pm on 27 from BH.
hopefully will see movement within the next week or so

B&H stated back in September regarding DJI and how they supply B&H with new products.  It said something like "you never know with DJI.  They might send 4, then 10, then 2, then 20.  It's not 1 big shipment ever with them."  It said all this about the Phantom series during their releases.

Well I just cancelled my order with B&H. I placed my order on Sept 30th. Maybe one of you guys will get yours a little sooner with my order out of the loop . . .  

I hope they just charge my card and ship it asap,  the wait is messing up my M5 SMG repair budget lol.

That's great news! I ordered 9/27, Combo. Last time I spoke to B&H, they told me my order was within the first 80. No shipping confirmation yet.

Just phoned them due to a lack of patience. They close at 2PM EST on Friday. How dare they, when the world is waiting for their Mavics!!!

They must of not received many.  I ordered less then a hour after you.  My order was at 1:20PM EST on the 27th.  My order status did not change.
