Yes we need some answers for sure. I think the best advice until then is only fly where you have plenty of space to allow time to get around the problem. I think I favor turning of the TX as a last resort  as I know yaw is active during RTH.

Interesting it's mainly "Yaw lock" being reported

YEs, i proposed to switch Tx off, is there any confirmation that switching off the Tx lets the Mavic execute RTH normally ?

I've grounded my Mavic Pro until I get an update.  So until I hear back it's a small paper weight.  I was lucky to get the unit back but the next time I may not be so lucky.  It could land in a place that I can't recover the Mavic Pro itself.

It took them about 3 weeks to review my logs when I lost a P3P.

Well, right now there should be a lot of pressure on them with the bad social media coverage on the Mavic problems. I was in that situation as Developer and i don't envy them.

Exactly. I have faith they'll get it all sorted soon- hopefully, sooner than later but I don't fly much in the colder months anyway, so I may just wait until next spring to place another order.

With a product release that just happened.  Problems like this are things that they should go in on weekends to analyze.  They are shipping things that have potential issues.  This isn't a product that sits on your desk and has issues, it's something that goes in the sky and has the potential of coming down.  I'm surprised that since Friday, I do not have any new info from DJI.  Even if they are still working on it, they should at least send me an e-mail that says we are still working on it.

In my very new experience with DJI, it is sad that I am seeing a repeating pattern of very poor customer service and substandard communication.   This is not the sort of thing that attracts new business, and will be their downfall in the end unless they acknowledge and make some changes.

From my new introduction to DJI I have not been overly impressed by the company at all. The innovation is obviously there but their ability to move from development to manufacture is poor, and by the looks of the various issues now seen on delivered Mavics I would strongly question their quality assurance processes, and assume there is very little testing of products prior to shipment.

Did you give them a call today? I had to call to follow up. Ask for a supervisor if you can too. The first rep I was talking to, although sympathetic and helpful, they said they are not aware of this. I think everyone needs to call to get their attention. The supervisor said they are going to rexamine my case (I used RTH and basically it flew away from me and crashed) I hope this helps!

Same issue just happened to my Mavic. I was flying in tripod mode about 10 feet off the ground and about 15 feet from the drone. The drone began spinning counter clockwise, any input from the controller did not work, and continued to spin and lose altitude. after several seconds of spinning, I tried hand catching the drone (please don't do this with the mavic!!! Split my index finger wide open and shattered my nail down to the bed) I was eventually able to power down the drone and called DJI support. I also just looked at my flight log and it shows left stick input to the left at 85% and left down at 10%. Over the next several seconds you can see the drone just spin counterclockwise. I tried inputing any command and nothing. You can see the stick inputs put the drone does not respond to them.

I'll post another video up like I did before so other people will find the resolution.  I almost think I should make a summary video of all the videos that I put out there.   I feel that people are watching one of the videos and do not connect the story with the next video.  We'll see.

Sorry to hear about your finger.  As mine fell from the tree branches, I contemplated catching it.  Then I said.  NOPE.. not worth losing fingers over it.  Luckily mine landed on grass and not pavement.  Still enough to bend my gimbal such that it could not initialize.  Blades are broken.

Can you update the DAT file and RC log file.

Sorry to hear about your Mavic as well. You might have actually saved me from crashing because I had watched your video previous to getting my Mavic this morning and instantly thought about the video when it started descending and spinning with out any stick input. The moment it was low enough I reached underneath as fast as I could to grabbed the drone. The drone at that point sliced my finger and went full throttle. I was able to power it down but this now also has me thinking about the ground sensors. Shouldn't  have detected my hand underneath it and have made the drone avoid my hand. HMMMM... maybe it doesn't work that fast. Anyways quick trip to urgent care, two stitches later, and a shattered nail I'm waiting to hear back from DJI as well.

Too bad your finger was hit.  But I'm glad the video helped you in some way.  I'm afraid to fly mine until I get an answer from DJI and they have a reasonable answer/fix.  If it flew off somewhere and I can't retrieve the Mavic, I don't know even if DJI Care Refresh would work.  I assume that you need to physically have a drone in hand to do the Refresh program.  

DJI do you know if you need the Mavic Pro for the Refresh program to work?  What if it flew away or was in an area that was unsafe to collect the body of the drone.

If it flies off and you can't retrieve it, or if it gets water damage of any kind, Refresh won't cover it...  I strongly suggest getting a policy through State Farm.  Mine is quoted at $36/yr with no deductible.  Loss, theft, damage is all covered, regardless of the cause.

Nope...  It can only automatically go in ATTI mode when there's no GPS or VPS...

I really don't know. Reading here that people putting their health at risk, catching a faulty product, should give everyone who is thinking to order a new DJI product new thoughts and honestly reconsider. I personally would inform my CC company about a faulty product. Only saying. I'm still watching what happens next.

Hi !
I know its hard to think in such a horrible situation but i really think that you have at least 50% chance of retrieving your Mavic if you switch off the Tx when the toilet bowl of death starts !
You obviously cannot do any good with the control so switch it off ! If the fake yaw input comes from a SW or HW fault on the Controller it will settle to RTH then.
If NOT you lost nothing.
