You might just be looking at data from  little stick cal applet in that video. obviously, anything is possible though

Ken  I hate to complain  today first flight Mavic the D5 button popped off .  I found it.  used a tiny drop of crazy glue to reattach.  I don't know if the top half broke off, or just was not seated enough.  I am NOT asking for another controller right now, just thought I would mention to you..

So, my DJI mavic just crashed on it's second flight. Today was the first day I had it. Very similar issue, I was just showing a coworker take off and landing.. it was probably in the air for 5 min or so, in a parking lot. So I did the return to home and it started to descend, but suddenly it started drifting backwards and to the side. I tried to cancel it and regain control, no response. Tried moving it back and it hit the side of the building. Battery scratched up and props are done. I'm not sure what to do, this is my first DJI. I updated the firmware late last night, and i did the calibration earlier in the day during the first flight, everything was fine. I flew in the same area for the second time.

I live next door to Java, and can easily get hold of top notch freshly roasted beans.

Get a commercial grade machine. Something like a Cimbali superautomatic. They aren't cheap, but you'll only have to buy one once in your lifetime.

Sorry to hear about it, please help clarify the firmware for aircraft, remote, and APP version firstly.
Then please connect your aircraft to PC and export the flight data through Assistant 2 when it happened, here is the tutorial for your reference.
You could upload it to dorpbox and provide us the link, we'll get it evaluated by engineers.

Hi, the DAT file is not correct one.
Could you please upload all the DAT files of that day?
And please do not turn on and turn off the aircraft frequently.

I'm pretty sure that's the DAT file you need to look at since that's what corresponds to the date and time.  I'm exporting the previous DAT file and I'll get that to you in a moment.

Hi Natalia, I'm trying to get the info, but it's stuck at refresh. The firmware tab is fine, it can detect. I downloaded the latest version from Assistant 2 from the DJI website for macOS. After a while the fan started turning on really loud from the gimbal area.

It took a while for me as well.  Yes my fan kicked on too.  Unit got pretty hot on the bottom.  However I believe it's designed that way to dissipate heat.  They are heat sinks on the bottom.

I re-calibrated it outside on a pier, I didn't have a problem inside actually.

Glad your flight ended safely. You said you calibrated the compass by the pier. Was there and metal under wherever you did the calibration?
And when it went into ATTI and it was drifting away, were you giving stick input to correct the drift and had the stick in the correct position based on your orientation. The low profile of the Mavic does get hard to see orientation when it's far away from you. Always remember you can use Home Lock to bring it back towards you if you lose orientation.
If you provide your email I can review your flight. Also you need to sync the flight records.

The KP index can effect GPS signals if it is too high. There are apps out there that will tell you the KP index.

What is the alloy on the bottom EXACTLY?  Is it heat treated?  

What is the depth of the "DJI" and "MAVIC" on the front 'skid plate' area?  OR, what is the thickness of the alloy under those inscriptions?

You've also tried closing the Assistant2 and powering off the aircraft and back on again correct?

Those are only the warnings recorded during a flight.
Try to delete the Assistant and reinstall, your crash doesn't sound sever enough to damage the flight data recorder.
Also, when it went into ATTI mode it drifted with the wind. Did moving the sticks flying it back to you not have any effect.
Play back your flight record and tap the RC icon and that will bring up your stick movements during the flight.
Look for when it went into ATTI and then see what your stick movements were and see if you were moving them the correct direction to head back based on the orientation of the aircraft and you can see the aircraft orientation by the triangle.

I am sorry, can you try a PC? If a PC does not work than possibly something got damaged from the aircraft.
This is what it should look like after the wheel spins for a few minutes.

So my .02...I have flown my mavic three times. Mostly its been 100%. One thing I noticed on my last flight though, and it didn't strike me as too odd until reading this thread. I went up to near 300 ft elevation as I was flying away from me. I say near 300 because I didn't look at the exact elevation when I stopped climbing, but I know I was within 20 feet of 300 because that was what I was climbing to and just stopped as I got close, wasn't looking to be dead on. I flew around testing the controls, just feeling it out. Mostly straight with a few turns. Turned around to come back to me and noticed I was just above 200 feet. Concerned me a little but I figured pilot error and assumed I may have been putting slight pressure on the left stick not realizing it. Kept an eye on it for the rest of my flight and noticed nothing out of the ordinary at all. After reading this thread and watching the stick calibration videos I decided to check my calibration. I noticed the same thing that others have, the left stick calibration indicator in my app would stick in random places. And not just occasionally, it was frequently. But could only get my left stick to do it. Tried going through my calibration process and got several errors that my sticks were not centered and the left one continually said it was down about 5-7% without me touching it. Finally got calibration process to complete but the same thing occurred afterwards, the indicator on my screen would get stuck in random places. Again, just the left stick. This was all on my iPhone 6s+. Out of curiosity I hooked up my nvidia shield K1 tablet and tried the same thing. Strangely, as much as I tried, I could not get the same error to occur. Tried my hardest, it worked perfectly. Could this be an iOS issue??? Out of curiosity, what devices have the users experiencing problems been using?

At lockheed, we spent hundreds of thousands in research into Kp value, and the affect it had on small uas. Guess what... we came to the conclusion it has little to null affect on uas gps. Its pretty much bull.

Man I've flown mine several times now and after reading these comments about it crashing after hitting the return to home, I'm scared to even try it. -_-

It seems that the problem is iOS related, a bug in DJI Go iPhone app.

Could the guys that have lost control on the Mavic confirm if they were using an iPhone or Android device?
